Did You notice how "Xavier" used telekinesis when retrieving the jump drive from Mysique? Xavier never had telekinetic abilities. On the scene right before the page turn he taps his helmet. It could be that maybe he controlled Magneto into manipulating the jump drive. OR could "Xavier" be using Sinster to experiment on him as sort of a first in what will become these created Mutants in the future?

Powers of X is the title because its literally the years of : X to the power of 0, 1, 2, 3; which is year 1, year 10, year 100 and year 1000. Its Xavier 616 in Fantomex body. Its to see some of the commenters also read Astonishing Xmen. If you read that series, Xavier's behaviour in this series is explained. His mind after dying from AvX was transported and trapped in Astral Plane by Shadow King for 10000 years. Thus also explaining the power level increase of Xavier. Anyone living in constant battle with a monster in another plane of existence will certainly change someone's philosophy. This might also explain why Xavier also has telekinesis powers as well.

A series on those with that interestingly hilarious Nimrod would be awesome in my opinion. Speaking of Mutants being created...do You think the list of those Omega Level Mutants from HoX have something to do with the early stages of Mutant experimentation for Krakoa? Imagine the damage that say a Franklin Richards gene would do.... I'm really enjoying this direction of the X-Men. I'm a loooooong time reader and this is fresh and exciting.

I don't know about what that 'dream' was about, but I think you forgot that we see some destiny laid upon some tarot cards and they represent two known characters that are part of the last few pages as well as Nimrod's tower, which probably means the 'dream' will involve some event that depends on Nimrod's tower and those characters in particular. I don't know how this will play out... but I think the events of House of X will have serious reprecussions on Krakoa that will possibly change the fate of the future since Nimrod is using mutants as data. And who knows about mankind and mutant-kind's future since they preserved remnants in the year 1000... All of this makes me think that mankind is not all that doomed in the future. I'm still trying to process all of this but... there's also a continuation to this line of comics already called Dawn of X I think, so... anyone can paint the rest of the picture I guess (or not).

I'm halfway through this video and I'm as lost about what this new Hickman X-Men stuff is about as I am when I try to read each # 1 lol and yet because it is Hickman, I am totally on board. I already asked Newbury Comics, in Dartmouth Massachusetts (shout out the best comic store ever!!!) to add each title to my pull list!!!! I will probably read the first three issues each in the correct order of course, once they are out and then when the final three come out I will read them in one sitting. Sort of like reading a volume 1 and then a volume 2 of this event. A lot of Hickman's stuff is hard to read monthly but he is one of my top three favorite comic book writers and creators!!!!

They told us why its powers of 10 on the first page. Its the time settings. X(10) to the zero power is xmen year one. 10 to the first power is x-men year 10 10 to the second power (10×10) is xmen year 100 10 to the 3rd power (10×10×10) is 1000.

I've never liked comic book timelines. They want us to accept that the whole of Marvel history took place in the span of ten years... but that Magneto was a WW2 holocaust survivor...? There are too many instances in Marvel history that could ONLY have taken place in actual history and to unravel that is to screw it all up. I would much rather that Magneto be on his deathbed for how old he should be. Characters should die and we should move on. That's why things get rebooted so much... but even if you did that, what could you do with Magneto? How could he have the life he needed to have to be the man he is? I am intrigued by House and Powers... but I can't say I like it yet. It's fascinating. But it's a whole different animal than the X-Men I grew up loving. A benevolent Charles Xavier who brought all races, colors, creeds and beyond together to save humanity and mutants from themselves. Missions and morality and trying to make peace in the face of war. This.........? This is Charles accepting that he is a god and tempering Magneto's hate into a weapon with his discretion keeping it in check. This is a fanboy's wet dream of HISHE for all of X history. I do not hate it... but I do not yet like it. I'm open to liking it. I'm just waiting to see how it unfolds.
