@Skiamakhos3 жыл бұрын
These look awesome - I was particularly into the fact that the cuffs can be rockered to cure pronation, which is a common beginner error. I've ordered a pair of the 80's - same boot, lower ride height. I love that they use a Trinity mount too, and the heat-mouldable liner. At the price point these go for it feels like we're getting a lot of skate for our money. Endless make a Trinity mount varient, which was important to me, to have that expansion option. Also if you're made of money & want some *amazing* frames there's Disroyal's IQON frames that use a Trinity mount.

This is the best review of inline skates I've ever seen. So much detail and information, in addition to actually skating in them. I've been eyeing the Powerslide Next 100s for some time now, and didn't have much real info to base a decision on when it comes to buying them. The fact that you consider them equal to the Twisters in many respects is good in my opinion, because I've tried Twisters before and loved how much I could do in them right out of the box. BUT! In my front ankle areas, the twisters hurt like hell. Changing socks & cuff tightness didn't help. The Next skates' My-Fit liner look a lot more comfortable, as well as the multi-directional adjustability of the cuffs. With slight pronation and weak ankles to begin with, I worried that I wouldn't have full control of tall, 100-110 mm wheels. Being able to adjust the cuffs upward probably means no worries there, either. I subscribed to your channel because your reviews are outstanding, and 100% helpful.

I have been skating the next skate for about two years, they are my only pair so far since getting back into skating so I can’t compare them to any other modern skate. They have been great for me overall but I did upgrade them in two ways that made a huge difference. First was putting in carbon superfeet insoles, this made them WAY more comfortable, with better control and power transfer. The second was replacing the top buckle with a razors metal buckle. The stock plastic buckle just couldn’t handle how tight I wanted it and would bend.

Hello there, I have been riding these for 5 months now. But after a week i felt that the cuffs were really wide and got in my way a lot. To fix that my solution was to switch them with ps imperial cuffs, wich needed different cuffbolts and were hard to find. If u got a bit of cash floating arround you can modify them a hell of a lot. My current setup: Next shell and buckles, imperial cuff, 3x90 katana frame with 90mm spinner weels or 3x90 335mm nexus rockered frame with 100mm hydrogen weels, Intuition v2 liners Just to give you guys some inspiration. By the way this video inspired me to buy these and i spent way to much money on them=) cheers Ps: I found them for 140 euro on sale (Ps Next rose) wich is a steal imo. I have a high arch and need all the advice possible to make these 9-10s work for me. Given as a gift and returning would be very hard, 11-12 would DWARF my little feet. Right now I just don't have the top eyelets tied and I have the strings going from the bottom holes INTO the liner and tying off at the top there. Laces are extremely loose all the way up, but I can tell most of the support comes from the buckles. I see a lot of people have these set up in the way I described, but also with a 3 lace solution, stock laces on the bottom, CCM/waxed laces on the top couple holes "hockey style," and then lace the liners separately (I could really use recommendations on what size hockey laces to get, considering I'm only doing the top 2 or 3 holes and then maybe a wrap around the calf, and what size/style/brand of LINER laces to get because I'm personally not familiar with such a product?). I know the skates can be cut in multiple areas but I'm really hesitant to do the modifications I may need to do to make them fit more accurately and comfortably because I don't want to void the returnability. I can feel that there is a large amount of heat reactive padding in the liners, and I'm wondering the best way to sort of "smoosh" that area of the liner after doing the MyFit technique to make them as high as they can be in that aspect. They feel perfect everywhere else, I love the looks, I have been wanting this level of performance for literal years, and (being I'm commenting over 2 years after this video came out haha) there are a fair amount of 1st and 3rd party options for the trinity mount. It's a hell of a skate and it's the skate I want.

I love my powerslides. Just got them about 3 weeks ago. Compared to my old K2 skates, they are like night and day. Shorter wheel base makes everything easier for agility. Hi, I own a pair of Twister edge and Next. I pretty much agree with everything that is said in this video. The Next are light boots, easy to put on and to ride, comfortable and ergonomic. Really good value for money. The main flaw is also its main quality: the trinity system, I love it as much as I hate it, for exactly the same reasons as you. On the other hand, when we measure the height of the setup from the inside, by sliding a ruler up to the heel of the boot, we realize that it is as high perched as a setup in 165. It is indeed lower in the front but not behind on the heel, where the weight of the body rests. It gives a stiletto heel effect. Effect which has its advantages but also its disadvantages. The other small flaw, the Toe Protector. The plastic is of poor quality. When braking is engaged, if this part touches the ground, it is the loss of grip and immediate control. Something that never happens on Twisters, even when the boot rubs the ground ^^. Very good review. Thanks for the video.

Great review. I have the next boot and I hate it. The buckles are too fidely. I took the laces out and replaced them with normal workbook laces which are great, and I am glad a checked out this video because I am going to try taking the cuff off completely so I can adapt the boot a bit better. I think the problem is the liner, I find once the skate is on that is is so uncomfortable, my feet ache after 5 minutes of skating. I suspect it is the liner, and maybe it is because I have a wide foot. I am going to try to make a customized liner and maybe I can actually use the skate. Although it seems like it is the cuff and tongue which are cutting off the circulation in my foot. It is odd because I have never had this problem with any other type of boot, and my other inline skates are fine, even though it was a cheap boot with old technology. I am going to look at getting a new inline skate but I won't be going anywhere near a Next boot.

Great review. You were really shredding the urban landscape in those skates! I'm interested in the Next line of skates but the slight unusual fit has been mentioned by many so that is keeping me away. And the limited frame options is a problem too. I have those recall liners and have used them in my Aeons and now in a different pair of aggressive skates. They are the most comfortable liners I have ever had! I agree that 243mm is too short for 110mm skating. I'm not sure I'm interested in any 3 wheel set-ups anymore but I used to have a Flying Eagle 110mm frame that has a bigger gap between the middle and front wheel. The length was 9.8 inches so a bit longer than 243mm. It was a pretty good set-up. But for now, there are so many good 4 wheel options out there that I don't see spending money on a 3 wheel frame anytime soon especially because I have the endless 90/110!

I think small skate companies do the 2 size shell purely as a cost saving measure. Usually the shells are even sizes and the liner are odd sizes (12 boot, smaller liner makes an 11) with thicker insole for half sizes (11 liner with thicker insole is 10.5... Inside a 12 shell) Rollerblade can afford to make more boot sizes but still do the insole trick for half sizes. There's a new model is rb x pro coming to IW... they look like a killer skate for $200

hi.. i have a question...i am 26,8 cm and I have twister edge x 2021 number 42 eu 27 cm and the fit is good for me.... I want to buy PS NEXT 90 I searched for my measurement in cm but each online shop has a different size chart and not which one to follow..for example bladeville shop says that 42-43 eu is 26.8-27.5 ... locoskates 26.9-27.5 ... inercia 27.1-27.8 ... you would know tell me which is the correct size chart? and which size is correct for me? I don't like the skate too wide...thank you so much
@ThirtyandRollin3 жыл бұрын
The first one is correct. You would only fit the 26.8-27.5 or 42-43 shell. But that's a big shell for your foot so I am not too sure.
@mountainpeakcloud84423 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this review. Having a small narrow foot, and looking for an urban skate that’s a little more towards the aggressive aesthetic, and less of the “bicycle helmet” aesthetic, I’m seriously considering these. You review covered almost all of my questions, but I did want to ask if these have a raised heel, or if the heel is more from the extra padding inside that can be removed? As for sizing, my largest foot is 24.2cm, and the 6-7/28-39 size is 24.2-24.8cm, so I would be at the bottom of that shell. Would it be better to get the 5-5.5 / 36-37 size which is 22.9-23.6cm? There's a 0.6 difference between my foot length, but are the sizes more based off the liners as oppose to the actual shell which maybe longer? I would much rather have a more responsive boot that I need to break in then something that's going to eventually be too loose on me, but I'm not sure is the 36-37 size really is too small. Also, I’ve seen that there’s a Kizer flux frame with kind of “sole plates” that can be attached to these to do some grinds, I think, have you tried those and have any thoughts about how they work with these? I kind of wish they made sole plates for these that were UFS compatible so they could be used for aggressive too, but these are cool nonetheless.
@ThirtyandRollin3 жыл бұрын
These have a raised heel with a small sock absorber. You want to get the closest size to your foot. I wish these had a proper soul kit like the new UFR skates.

@@ThirtyandRollin Thanks for the reply.
