The USPS people say that all the time, along with "you are getting (shipping) moneys worth." I think that little box was designed for VHS tapes. I had a few come apart in shipping when I first sent them out, which is why there is so much reinforced tape around the box. Now they survive. Any questions, you know where to find me. Thanks.

Thanks for the comment, Kirby. For the service manuals I used, one was the International manual for the VT365 version of the 6.0 and the Ford service manual DVD that you can get on eBay. It's doable, but I'd rather be doing something else. And I had the dimensions worked out. Playing with how to make this the most cost-effective for everyone, this seemed to be the best way, although shipping is still $10 of the total and the PayPal fee. The costs would still be there with eBay, too.

Mike, I'm ordering more steel for kits on Monday, so should get that by the end of the week usually, and it takes me a few hours to flip that into a kit - drilling, tapping, grinding. If you want to switch over to the V3, I can just refund your payment, then resend for Version 3. No kits will be shipping until Tuesday, anyway.

For the V6 kits, I'm waiting for the turnbuckle. I usually get it from McMaster, but they say 5 weeks out, so I've ordered from another source. Sorry, at this time, I'm not. I spend an hour for the Version 3 and almost 3 hours to get the Version 6 made and get them in the mailbox. I never had the intent of making money with these, but I don't have the time right now to do these, or to buy all the components and wait months to recoup my outlay. @@hturbo845 Thank you, Chris; you're one of the few with feedback. Being retired and just trying to help people out, I don't have the overhead a business does, and the goal was not to make a lot of money on these, just to cover all the costs and less than minimum wage for my time. The need for a DIY'er to pull the motor will get expensive and frustrating. So when I saw what people were charging to buy or rent a better way than using the eyelets or chains, and hopefully need it only once, I knew I could do something better. Growing up with Heathkit electronics, a "kit" was the best way to make these more affordable, even to the point of shipping in a small package. What has surprised me is that some businesses have bought them, including both versions. Best of luck with your endeavor; you have my email if you ever need help.

@@toomanytoys it's a great thing your doing for the 6.0 community. I understand the overhead these big businesses have but sometimes the prices seem a little excessive for more basic products. I find myself going out of my way to purchase these home built and not mass produced tools and parts for what ever hobby I have. It's more of a personal transaction and the product tends to have more thought and care into it then a mass produced item.

Hey Cory. I never followed through with Version 4, which did not require welding. However, I did have two thicker blanks made to do that. I'd have to figure out what the cost would be, as I know the plates cost more, and I'd need to get the bolts and eyelet. But doing that, the centerline would be set a little back, which would require the use of a tie-down strap or racket to bring the nose up. I can figure that out in a day or two if you need something that won't need to be welded.

@@corynader1578 Cory, long days at the farm. Version 4 would come with the baseplate, eyelet, eyelet bolt, and the four bolts to the block. I don't think a shackle is needed with the eyelet; my engine crank hook fits in. With shipping Priority Mail and PP fee, it would come to $70. Again, the lifting center is a little farther back, so the engine will be nose down and need a strap from the front to the crane to raise it level. I would need a day to buy a bigger countersink.
