What I would like to see in the next model of this is for the leverarm part to be removable from the main post, so that you would have just a standard post with the preacher pad which could be used separately, or you could add the leverarm portion, the leverarm could attach via a sleeve and kept in place by a locking pin, it would make the whole unit easier to store and offer addition functionality.
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 3 жыл бұрын
That would be a cool feature. If you wanted to go to the trouble, you could always unbolt the lever arm for a couple months while you progress on a particular free weight exercise then put it back when you’re ready for a different exercise. Honestly, though, I don’t think it gets in the way all that much for barbell exercises.

Thank you! I’m really glad the review was helpful. Your clothespin trick has been invaluable. This is my second Powertec Preacher Curl Attachment and the one from 3-4 years ago had this feature too. I’m not sure if Powertec had using other attachments as part of their plan or if the option to remove the handlebars is more for shipping purposes, but it works great with ropes, d handles, etc.

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I assumed that the one I had was the 2016 model, it had the same handle bar as the current model but without the rotating handles, didn't the 2014 version have the hammer curl handles on it?, either way, the version I had didn't have the removable pin, maybe it was an early model or maybe it was different for the UK/EU market.

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews maybe I had the 2014 version, or possibly the US/UK versions were different, for example, the UK version of the 2020 Multipress Levergym, the bench has only 5 holes to set the position of the bench when you slide it back to forwards, 2 at the very front and 3 at the rear, the 4 in the middle are missing, where as the bench you have has 9 holes, allowing for 9 position, because those 4 hole positions are missing on the Multipress bench it removes some functionality, makes setting a good position for incline press tricky.

Ha, out of boredom, I'm thinking of making a hip thrust setup using the back portion of my half rack (feet) and combination of heavy duty purple seat cushions and possibly crash pads (too high) or yoga blocks (good height, might need to get more heavy duty versions though as opposed to standard foam). Using step up boards are another option. Will probably make a DIY wooden block or steel bar/slab coated with vinyl floor mat for standing calve raises (got my spotter arms set up at the perfect height)

Thank you! Nice! I’m sure you are looking forward to the Levergym! I hope you like it as much as I do! Yes. I have horse stall mats from Tractor Supply. Some people will say the initial smell is off putting, oddly enough, I like the smell. It will eventually dissipate, especially if it’s in a garage. You also have the option to leave them outside (unstacked) for a few days if you want to try to lessen the odor. My preferred preacher exercise is a cable preacher curl. So I either pull my stand-alone Titan V2 Preacher Curl Bench over to one of my pulleys or I can use this attachment and bench in front of a pulley. My second favorite preacher is a plate loaded lever style preacher like this attachment. My least favorite preacher exercise is with a barbell. So if it were me, and I didn’t have a cable option, I would take this attachment strictly for preacher curls. However, I can do a lot of non-preacher curl exercises with this attachment.

Hi, I've been watching your helpful videos for sometime now. A suggestion regarding your videos, the audio sound is quite hollow and soft when you are standing far away. Also, for the preacher curl, have you tried removing the pad and using it as some kind of pullover using a longer strap/handle?
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’m trying to figure out the sound. I’ve recently added a mic, but like you’re saying, I’m still not satisfied. Some of the issue is me filming in a high ceiling garage. I’ll keep working on it. As for removing the pad, there is a metal upright the pad attaches to which, unfortunately, prevents using it as a pullover…cool idea though…I like the way you’re thinking.
