I recently bought one. When I took off from my back yard for a short first test flight,several of my neighbours came out to see where the noise came from. Though big and noisy,it handles surprisingly well and the possibility to turn the camera (I think)270 degrees is a bonus. Just wanted to say that my poweregg drone was delivered a day early. The drone is pretty sweet, well constructed, comes with everything that you need to get started. The range on this drone will vary depending on what is around you. Tip: Lower the transmission rate to 1MB so that the video does not cut out on you. Also flying at night was a pleasure since you can see the red lights which help you determine the direction of the drone. Plus the controller feels well balanced in your hands so I was pretty amazed by that. Thank you again Captain for the review on this drone. Didn’t take enough notes lol I ran the battery to 19% and it landed in a bean field! It started to descend and I panicked and all my knowledge disappeared lol. Good thing I always practice with new drones ina. Wide open space! Only bad thing is I think one of the landing legs is broken :( I also noticed it would switch to auto land mode on its own. Not sure if it lost signal or what. I did notice the video break up and even the drone would ocassionally not respond to the controller. This drone is a lot more advanced than I thought but it sure is a lot of fun to watch it in the sky! Looks awesome at night as well! Anyways, lesson learned! Every drone has its own personality that must be taken into consideration! Unless it’s DJI lol then it just basically fly’s itself! Lol

Another fun video of an "antique" haha! This thing always intrigued me. I love PowerVision's Vision, but I question whether this is a good buy even at $462 (Amazon US) at the moment. Amazon isn't very descriptive though with it's "What's included section". It isn't clear as to whether or not it includes the case and bag. Also, it still only has one battery. Given the age of this thing I would be concerned with finding new batteries. Amazon only has 6 left at $150 a pop! My main concern with all drones is the proprietary batteries. If the drone isn't a large brand than it is hard to find batteries for the drone after 3 years. The Egg does apparently have a 3.1 mile range which is better than the Typhoon H and it has longer flight time apparently, but other than that, I can do everything the Egg can do with my Typhoon H (non plus) and more. Granted it was more expensive and still is but at least it is a bit more known and I can still find batteries, although even those are getting limited to certain manufacturers. All of these companies, Yuneec and PowerVision included seem to be fading.... Parrot and DJI appear to be the only mainstays with Parrot showing signs of demise in terms of the consumer market. I'm not downplaying the Egg or PowerVision but as much as I'm on the edge to buy the Egg, I stop short since for me, I would only be getting it for the fun factor and the bizarre conversation starter that it inevitably is....

I purchased one after seeing the first video; but my experience was not as gratifying. I had a total flight time of 5.5 minutes(3 separate flights!) Yes everything was charged fully and in the first minute the battery went from 90% to 50% to nothing. All I could hear was the female robotic voice informing me I did not have enough power and the drone was landing. Unfortunately on my third flight I lost control (orientation) and it decided to land in very tall weeds out in a field. It was now getting dark and there was a forecast of rain later that evening. Try as I might it was impossible to find. I went home and got my trusty Mavic 2 pro, turned on my landing lights and very carefully scanned the area and was very fortunate locating it. Now to be clear mine had to be defective and I was fortunate enough to be able to return it but going forward thinking maybe staying with DJI. Of course this was the first time i flew a drone without attaching my trusted GPS tracker...lesson to be learned lol

It only goes in one way so you have a 50% chance of putting it in correctly... You can't put it in the wrong way. If you put it in the wrong way and it does not want to go in, DON'T FORCE IT.

Hi Captain Drone I purchased a PowerEgg from Best Buy along with a second battery and a set of CW and CCW spare props. I love this Unfortunately it flipped on its top after landing two weeks ago. Not even a scratch on it but one motor tries to start but doesn't completely turn over (possibly an ESC or at the worst a faulty motor?) My batteries are 2 and 4 cycles respectively and the drone has only flown approximately 6 flights. I have 3 choices to send it to PowerVision in Texas, to order a motor and ESC and do the repair myself or to sell the EGG for parts if anyone is interested.

i flew 2 miles with my egg .....but i wouldnt not push it any farther than that..... because of the battery although it calculated the distance warned me to turn back and go home.....but i still had about 40 percent of juice when i got back....with the battery only lasting under 20mins ,,it would be hard getting the drone to go 3.1 miles

A simple booster, like a piece of aluminum foil placed behind the antennas and aimed at the drone would increase reception.

Hey well I guess I won't be needing the piece of foil anyway as my poweregg plummet from 15mt high in to the ground with no collision at all with nothing.. it just came straight in to the ground still with rotors spinning with power it seemed as if one of them stopped working.. it crashed very bad beyond self repair and since there's no insurance plan in powervision I guess that's it for my drone... I still sent a letter to them explaining what happened I barely used it for around 10 flights I got it by the last days of August so that does it for me.... Am out 😣

So I guess possibly tomorrow they'll call me or reply to my request.. the warranty on their side is just for the sensor or system malfunction and I'm truly sure this is a system malfunction because of it was my fault i would zip my mouth and try to fix it myself because the warranty is clear on their terms... Wish i could send the pictures on where was it flying and how bad it looks... I'll Keep you posted and believe me anybody out there that wants to buy this drone... Mantis G should have support for your country. FIMI X8, probably not. You may wish to consider such things before spending big $$ on a drone that you may not have support for.

I love this drone, it looks amazing I don't mind mowing the sky's lawn lol.. I had issues with the control signal and the techs at powervision told me to change the channel frequency and I did and it worked now the video recorded on the cellphone pauses every now and then... don't know why, before it didn't do that.... any Idea Capt'n Drone? I put a 128 gb U3 micro SD on the Drone Could be the cause?

I don't know if the drone is rated to take above 32 Gig cards. There should be zero pause recorded to the video card. Pause on your phone or tablet are due to connection issues or the bit rate is to high for the connection.

Hi Captain Got my egg and tested it out flying nice when I got it to lift off. Then come the dangerous part when I whas flying and tested it out then it loses it signal to the Phone and I returned it closer by the return to home button. But it didn't get the connection back to the phone and almost hit a phone tower on the way back. My other drones don't do that. That lose signal but get it back as I getting closer.

Yes, most WiFi connections are like that. When connection is lost, it takes awhile to establish connection until the drone is closer.

Nope. Only drone with a real zoom at a low price is the MAVIC 2 ZOOM. Other drones at a lower price have what is known as a digital zoom.. which is what people who are photographers call "garbage"

You have to set the battery percentage for auto land in the settings. My flight was only 16 min.

Those other drones are small and portable and will not annoy people when flying. This one is totally the opposite. This drone has the cool factor going for it and it also has an almost 360 camera so you can fly in one direction and film in another direction.

The App gives you the option to do what you need to do. Look along the bottom of the screen before you enter the interface for the drone.

It's a wonder those seagulls didn't chase after it, thinking something stole their egg.. Is it just me or did that sand look like small rocks? Your sand on steroids up there in Canada Capt?
