Your videos are so real and that is what makes you popular. Forgetting to turn the egg on is something I would do too so I know you are real. The video looked good to me and it looked like fogging was not an issue. I am pretty impressed with the Egg. Can you do a distance test with it and maybe show its smart shots with the update? It looks kind of weird, but that is what makes it intriguing. Thanks for all you do. Thumbs up coming up!

Pretty cool! The only problem I could see is if you ever were to crash into a tree those pontoons would get hooked on branches and you’d end up with a power egg Christmas tree ornament.

Good point about the pontoons covering a bit the antennas. perhaps resulting in a possible range reduction. The PowerEgg people should have an answer, or NOTE for drone operation regarding this. Agree with one of your other viewers - PowerEgg looks more appealing each time I see it. Burrrr.... Been in one or two of those snow storms. Prefer SoCal weather (though would like some more rain and mountain snow this season).

I just like your chanel with many drones presentation. I got the Mavic mini in december. In winter, it's a bit hard for the hand. Just hope bellow zero temperature hard soon. (leaving near Montreal). Have you any good trick with the mavic mini when there are very low temperatures ? Keep up the good work !!!

What a drone - it handled perfectly! Great little review + good info on the IMU update fixing the interference issue. I wonder how you would fare by just staying inside the car with the controller? You didn't fly very far at all, so I would think you'd have been OK - especially from the front seat closest to the front windshield glass. Maybe something for a future video? Thanks again, Cap'n.

Gave your video a 👍 just because your a sticker. There are very few of us manual stick shifters around these days. I have never owned a car which wasn't at least a 5 speed stick (on car #4). I wish the PEX had better OA as I have way too many trees for it to get caught up in.I Definitely like the removable arms as that makes it easily repairable.

Hey captain drone how's it going, it's Nate with the egg drone, yeah something was wrong with the drone, I talked to a tech guy in that company, and he said he's going to try another one there and exchange that one with this one, he already has tried it and works great, he also said the repeater will be locked in or matched with the egg so I should be ok, I'll keep you updated....🙏

Great video. There is a reason why you have 105k followers. I am torn between getting a drone in the $600 range or getting one in the $1200 range. You are providing a lot of great info. I spend a lot of time fishing in the summer. The egg-x is very tempting. Do you find the firmware updates are resolving the glitchiness some people have reported?

Looked good to me,lol,that happens sometimes, forgetting to turn things on,lol,anyway good flying, wow you really get some snow in Canada an freezing temperatures, you need some mittens like I got ,they flip back so if you have to use your devices you can an also keep your hands an fingers warm.

The firmware version is the latest and it is shown on the screen in the video near the start. Camera settings are left on AUTO.

Cheapest route for a good drone would be the JJRC X12, Hubsan Zino or Mavic Mini. For a better drone you have the PowerEgg-X.

I'm very impressed with the performance of the drone and the quality of the video in your review, however when I jump over to Amazon the buyer experiences have been quite negative. This is a chunk of change and I think it wise for me, a virtual drone novice (lots of RC flight experience, just not drones), it might be prudent to wait until the greatest number of reviews swing to the positive side. I'm a big believer in the review ratio theory that 1 out of 10 people who like or love a product will leave a review while 8 out of 10 people who dislike a product will likewise leave their review. Even so, when a product is new, especially one so dependent upon software updates and revisions, it's probably a good idea not to jump in until the sea calms.

Hi Steve. I know you’re a busy guy but could you mention which mobile device you’re using. I got my PowerEgg X less than a week ago but I’m still grounded. I’m trying to use a Samsung S6 and Samsung S7 but the problem is there is no live video. Everything is up to date FW and SW wise. On the plus side Powervision’s Tech Support are very pro active and we’ve been in near constant contact today attempting to work the problem out. Regards Nidge.

CAPTAIN DRONE: Thank you for the reply, Steve. Unfortunately it’s both. It works fine on my iPad but as you know it’s not possible to mount the iPad. It also sort of works on my Huawei M5Lite8 (Android) but the APP keeps randomly crashing, and again no way to mount it. It’s obvious that Powervision are having serious issues with the Android APP as in the first three days I owned the PEX they updated the APP twice. They’re now up to version 2.0.8 where as iOS is 2.0.4. Nidge.
