Thank you Billy, aside from not having to return my Egg X everything you have experienced happened with my Egg. Randomly I can get a 4K at 60 to record to the SD card, it is better when recording to the internal memory but still does not record the full length that I thought I was recording. If you go with 4K at 30 it records so much better. Not sure the processor can handle the higher frame rate. I still like this little Egg, flight time has been great and signal strength is good. Again thank you for easing my anxiety that I was the only one having problems with the 4K / 60.

Thanks very much. If you want to know MPH remember that feet per second is roughly 1.5 time MPH... 20 MPH 30 ft per second. NOt exactly but close.

I noticed on the initial landing the gimbal did not reset the camera to zero while landing, DJI's always snap up to zero if pointed down to protect the lens. would imagine this would be a easy fix via firmware but maybe should have been caught during development...

Same thing I'm experiencing with mine, 4k@60f/sec only record 30 to 90 seconds. At 1080, records fine all day and been flying it in snowstorms, landing/taking off in powder snow with the floats...so far so good

Love that Dial on the right that shows you how much the Gimbal Pitch is or direction or something. Looks very choppy.

I tried their water submarine “drone” and it did the same thing to me. Tons of errors, recording issues. Not reliable at all.

I ordered and received my Egg X. Had issues trying to use my Android phone and tablet, but could never get it to connect the drone. The camera worked, but the drone would not connect. Deleted and re-installed, and still had the same issue. Connected fine with my iPad, but I didn't want to lug an iPad around. Sent it back the next day and bought an Autel Evo for about the same price and it worked right out of the box without any issues. They did take it back and I was refunded in about a week.

Andrew Sypien . Hi out of curiosity what Android device were you using? I’ve had my PEX for nearly two weeks and I’m having similar issues with my Samsung S6, and S7. I can connect to the hardware with both WiFi and USB but there is no live video feed, though the histogram is registering changes in light. I’ve been trying to work the issue through with Powervision but the best they’ve come up with is to keep installing the APP. Being a nerdy no life kind of guy I’ve been doing my own investigation and I’ve concluded that the way they have wrapped the video package means it is only compatible with a very limited number of GPU’s found in Android devices. With regard to your comment about the iPad, like you it works fine with my iPad, but Powervision have been so short sighted that they have not made any provision to use a tablet, even a small one. If they had done I would be able to use my Huawei M5Lite8 tablet as this works fine with the APP. If I had the choice I too would have gone with the Autel EVO but it’s not sold or supported in the UK, and I wouldn’t touch DJI with someone else’s bargepole. Regards Nidge.

Hopefully they can fix the problems with an update and maybe you can dial in the settings so it will yaw smoother. Had the same problem with my Mavic Pro until I turned down the sensitivity. Otherwise it looks like an interesting drone with lots of potential.

DJI perfected the feed w/ the M2 and Smart Controller. Flying w/ that combo is just so solid.

Not tried in water or rain as well and never did any follow up? Can you explain what happened ? Did it just break down again? I got my Power Egg so wondering what went so wrong here?

Hi Billy I received my Poweregg X with waterproof kit yesterday. Due to the UK weather I haven’t flown it yet but I’ve still managed to have issues that convince me it was rushed to market after the CES announcement. The Android APP is buggy as a buggy thing. It refuses to work on the S7, and is hit and miss on a Huawei M5Lite8, always wants to restart due to USB issues. It seems to function on my iPad 2019 but thats a moot point as there is no provision to use a tablet on the controller. If I’d have paid full retail for it I would be extremely pissed off, however I paid Mavic Mini money for it as an open box sale but that doesn’t mean I’m not extremely annoyed at the moment. I have let Powervision know my preliminary concerns and it will be interesting to see how proactive their technical support are. Regards Nidge.

I am leaving this same comment in everyone's comment section of the skydio2 video creators that I have been following and subscribe to since October 2019. Some of you have already sold yours .... some have kept theirs. All of you are drone enthusiasts and own and still fly the Mavic 2 Pro. As a first time owner/purchaser/pilot (pure recreational purpose) of a Drone, I can only choose one The Skydio2 or the Mavic 2 Pro If you were in the same situation and circumstance and under the same constraints which one would you choose?

Have you ever considered doing a video on the known, and as yet, unsolved Mavic Mini problem of suddenly descending uncontrollably, sometimes recovering, but ofttimes not, often into water, for some poor owners? I couldn't say for sure as I have not changed or uploaded any new software version. I have flown over the tracks here and they are part of a railroad yard which supposedly controlled by Homeland Security. But then too I did that atleast a month before I saw the news about railroad tracks.

The formula to convert feet per second into miles per hour: S=Speed in MPH V=Speed in FPS S=V\1.466 So 48 fps would be 48\1.466=32.74 MPH

Your stuff on the screen looks all big because your phone has a low screen resolution. Mine is 3120 x 1440 and my Mavic Mini's histogram is tiny on my screen compared to others I've seen like iPhone.. Sweet

I have no interest in flying in the rain nor taking off and landing on water, great review but I would be embarrassed to get that out and fly "an egg" LOL I think i'll stick to my I2 and Mp2. Don't know how you feel about the range on the I2, I thought for the money and what they sprooked it was very poor. Added fpvlr boosters and antenna kit, well worth the cost A+ may be you can do a video on the I2 range performance increase. regards Tony Australia

There was a new law putin software lately about flying over rails and maybe that is stopping it. Dupposedly the law includes railroad yards and some tracks,,,that are controlled by homeland security!

@15:06 but you WERE going everywhere -- your flying was quite random at times and I thought you would crash your drone against a tree or an electrical pylone or something. You should focus more in your flying and have a plan before flying.

Wasn’t impressed with it at CES,, now even less impressed. Imagine having to haul all the “extras” around to get the most out the drone that would be the key reason you bought it for. Getting wet. I will assume that some of the issues in this video can be resolved in firmware updates but most of those things should have been fixed before release. My opinion,, not ready for prime time.
