So if I wanted to do some slow speed maneuvering drills on my Harley I’d have to have the remote on me the entire time? Like I couldn’t set it to follow me then put the remote down and just do drills in the parking lot and lt follow me?

Nice Job Billy jumping on the opportunity to give a first look at this new drone. My guess is we won't see a Mavic 4E series now. Looks like DJI is separating its lines. Maurice will be Enterprise and Mavic will be consumer/prosumer. Was really hoping for 1280x1024 thermal payload. When you do complete review, please address how DJI is able to produce thermal images/video with the640x512 sensor as it says it can do in the specs??? Are they using AI??

No question in my mind that this is an alien invasion. America's enemies are using drones for warfare in countries like Ukraine. Can drones be used by adversaries to cause fire? Yes. Are there such mysterious drones in the vicinity? Yes. Has their presence been explained?No. Has the possibility been ruled out? No. Can they cause harm? Yes. Can adversarial countries use them in their warfare art so they can cause damage without actually being present or risking their troops and telegraphing their intent? Definitely yes. Given the ongoing geopolitics and conflict with these countries, I'd be on my toes until this possibility is ruled out. The backlash to private drone fliers does not outweigh the safety of the general public. Rule it out first. Period.

Across the board, the FAA is far too restrictive on drone use. Requiring VLOS when everyone, including the FAA, knows how unrealistic (and unnecessary with drone's cameras) this is for actual drone use is an example. As you note, there are BIG areas of the country where drones are simply not allowed, even at very low altitude. If buildings and trees are 100 feet off the ground, why should the FAA say that a drone cannot fly at that altitude or even lower? There needs to be more common sense applied to these regulations.

Nice vid and demonstration of active tracking. In my view, the obstacle avoidance systems on current drones aren't good enough to allow the pilot to 'check out' in cluttered areas. As you saw and others have as well, thin branches, wires, and the like are still a problem for obstacle avoidance. It seems that obstacle avoidance is best treated as a good 'backup' rather than a means of truly 'hands-off' flight.

Live in Michigan and just seen one randomly flying near my home in the dark with a big light on it tonight. Why are they flying in 10 degree weather and my wife took a video of it and it definitely is not an airplane lol. People are not talking anymore because they have suppressed the reporting

I was really really hoping for a higher res thermal. I would have gladly paid and extra 1000-1500 more for the higher res camera. They are literally using 6-7 year old thermal tech.
