That's very good info. Because I was hesitant in buying a new Avata. But now I already have the goggles one and the integrals goggles. I can use it with the new Avata 2 And and I truly agree with you. This option should have been at the beginning of the sale of a new Avata. That way, you have more options to choose from. To me, they would have sold more of the Avata 2, then buying the fly More kit with everything that I really don't need. And purchase it later. If I wanted to get them. Billy, I've tried everything to update my avata 2. I have tried Assistant 2 no luck (says no software compatible for device ) and the Fly app never says there is an update for the avata 2.... What am I doing wrong...Also you make very good videos..🤠

Will the new goggles 3 and motion controller 3 ever be compatible with the mini 3 pro?

now im wondering the latency difference between goggles 2 vs goggles 3 when using the avata 2. i will test it but, spoiler alert, i think there wont be any noticable difference between o3 vs o4. especially in CE regulations.

This drone is amazing but realistic usable battery life is 25 minutes + or - a few minutes depending on conditions and as good as the camera is I would like to see improvements to the optical zoom and it some times struggles blowing out skin highlights.

The fps is tied directly to the latency. The fps of the recorded video has to match the refresh rate of the goggles. So, in the past, the only way to get the advertised 24ms latency is to record in 1080p100. Now you don't have to sacrifice footage resolution for low latency anymore.

Billy, use INTEGRA with AIR3, start Integra, then kill the MC2, the RC2 will take over the controls and image will be inside Integra....Is way better than this setup you made. Cheers.

Really want to see a back sensor tap in upgrade. Something similar to the obstacle avoidance tap in on the mavic, air 3 and mini 4. Imagine flying in backwards direction and filming what’s behind you in 4K 🤩

I really don't see the point of the flip features. Not unless someone wants to use them as a transition between flight locations.

Nah, nothing and nobody's perfect so products that make it out on the market evolve over time and from customer's experience and therefore updates and new features are released. That's the regular way how it works. I would neither pick the Avata 1 nor 2 coz they aint the right ones for my use (prolly only for testing). I better stay with at least the Air3 or even better the Mavic 3 Pro.

to answer the question of a finished product....to me the answer is all old features should be there. new features yes can be added but if the old version has a feature the new generation has to wait for an update to be able to do...then the product isn't ready.

Not worth the upgrade but definitely a good choice to someone that doesn’t have one and wants to buy one. But if you have the avata 1 the 2 is not necessary. I could see my self upgrading for something different like a mini avata. Something under 250 grams that could be repairable instead of sending it for repair like the avata 2 that brakes too easily with minor crashes.

It's enough for me to upgrade. I wanted to be able to use my inetgra or goggles 2 in audience mode.

I totally agree with you that DJI could have made the Avata 2 compatible with the Integra Goggles, DJI FPV 2 and MC 2 from the jump. My biggest complaint is those who purchased the Avata OG with those (like me) went out and purchased the Avata 2 Fly More (and a second Avata OG) and was hoping to sell off the Goggles Integra and MC2 because the new Goggles 3 and MC 3 would be back compatible with the OG. But now I would need to keep the Integra and either the sticks or MC2 to be able to fly the OG... Not Cool... So I am out $900 by not waiting for a stand alone Avata 2. In addition, why not make the Goggles 3 OC3 compatible --- that would be additional sales to true FPV builders using the OC3 systems... Add on bonus sales... From now on I'll just wait! Umm DJI has been holding back the SDK for the Air 2s for how long now? IMO to sell more M3PE drones. What would be the other reason for not releasing the SDK by now?

Interesting video... I think that complaining about backwards compatibility before the drone is available for sale is a waste of time. I also can't blame them for focusing manufacturing on selling the entire kit verses individual parts. I mean, it's not like those guys don't already have the Avata 1 for God's sake. I'm pretty sure there weren't any deaths associated with the wait... and again, the drone isn't available anyway so... Now the complaint is that the Goggles 3 don't work with older drones or Air Units. I'm pretty sure that everyone already has goggles for their O3 Air Units... The people claiming DJI is "screwing them over" by NOT taking their money are hilarious!!!

I couldn't believe the goggles 3 were released without compatability to DJI's own air packs. I like the goggles 3 far more than the older version so I will hold out in hope that they will do the right thing and update so that I can give them yet another $1200 for air packs to add to my custom built drones.

If they can backwards compatibility, then they should add the easy acro to the original avata it's only software... I'd consider the upgrade if they did drone only and are able ro buy extra batteries separately than I would be tempted

Great video Billy. Regarding the 4K/100 fps, it’s because the latency of the goggles transmission system is equal to the frame rate at 100 fps. Mads Tech has a video explaining this. I guess the old system (goggles 2 and integra) have the same limitation so it is probably related to the backwards compatibility. For a lot of guys using the original and 03 air units, latency is important for fast flying. For me not so much. Cheers!

I don't own these myself, but from other reviewers, you *CAN* remove the antennas and the fan does NOT defog the goggles.

The downside of a mini se is with wifi... Of you stand on a wifi coverage area, youll have a hard time maintaining connection to the drone..
