THANK YOU for this!! Had to replace my bearings on my rear Super Team wheels and it was near impossible to find the right video until I came across yours! Well done😉

My R13s (about a year old 2022) are different. With mine when you take off the front wheel end cap, you can insert 6mm allen wrench to help take off the other end cap using a 5mm. I tried knocking it out your way @4:50 and no go. So I'm going to revert to using a screwdriver and mallet to knockout the existing bearings. I feel they change this model up a lot as the rear hub has a 6902 and a 6802 bearing. The kit I got had two 6902 bearings.

thank you! this is super helpful! I just have an update tho, there is a newer version of R13. end caps arent threaded anymore and they just slide into the axles; they can be pulled to get off front hub now uses 6802-2RS. rear hub still uses 6902-2RS but, i haven't checked the cassette holder's..

My rear wheel hub doesn’t have a 10mm grooves to hold the 10mm allen key so I loosen the other cap on the non drive side. It is completely round. Any advice is appreciated.

How did those wheels feel after that ? Mine rear wheel uses both 6802-2rs in the hub, the freehub works fine so I'm not gonna replace that
@kt3116610 ай бұрын
Much better. The old bearings spun fine but seemed to lack grease. So once replaced with the new bearings they were smoother for sure

Thanks for this very useful video. Could anyone confim wether the standard ceramic bearings in the Poweray R13 are full ceramic or hybrid? I'm kinda lost here because I need to replace mine.
@kt311665 ай бұрын
Thanks for viewing. I wish I knew that answer for you but I do not. Hopefully some responds to your comment b
@iamadairjr5 ай бұрын
@@kt31166 I'm only asking that because I've seen a lot of hybrid ceramic bearings on Aliexpress but I get a bit afraid of ordering those and the standard bearings are fully ceramic. Also I'm not aware of the difference in terms of performance.

Great video ! At 15:30 you just pull off the free hub. I also want to replace my freehub. I was able to unscrew everything, but I am not able to pull the free hub off. It's sticked to the axis. Could this be corrosion ? You mentioned in your video that you replaced your hub the year before. Was it easy to pull it off ? Or where any additional actions needed ?
@kt3116611 ай бұрын
Hi it just pulled straight off no issues. Most everything I have worked on the free hub just pulls off once the end cap is removed. Some end caps are just slid on and some screwed on.

Thanks so much for this video. I bought carbon rims with these hubs four years ago and have been unable to find any info how to service them. This video provided me with everything I needed to replace my bearings. I have one question. When I removed my cassette holder a little spacer (washer) dropped to the ground. I do not know if this was under the cassette holder or on top? Anyone know?
@kt31166 Жыл бұрын
Sorry just seeing this now. That spacer as I am sure you found out by now goes between the carrier and the bearing

Ken Thanks for sharing your video. I am wondering why the 699-2RS bearing did not work for you? I just ordered 2 699-2RS because that is what my hub has. I was told one time to freeze the bearing and warm the hub so it expands.
@kt311662 жыл бұрын
Hey Edwin thanks for viewing. Not sure why. I could look at my older R13 hubs and see if they use the 699-2rs bearings. The newer units definitely did not.
@kp4akb2 жыл бұрын
I have two 699-2RS on the way. I will try them and let you know if they fit. Seems like you are the only source of information on PowerWay hubs.
@kt311662 жыл бұрын
@@kp4akb so I pulled my older r13 front hub apart, and that hub does in fact use 699-2rs bearings. Not sure why the newer one is different.

@@kt31166 I received my Bearings 688-2RS and the fit my front hub like a glove. Now I have to take them for a spin
@rogerbergua62682 жыл бұрын
I confirm that I had this exact same issue. My Powerway R13 front hub (around 2 years old) uses 6800-2RS bearings. I ordered from The Doctor Hub the bearings for the PowerWay R13 front hub and received the 699-2RS bearings. The inner and outer diameter as well as the thickness are clearly different. I contacted The Doctor Hub and it seems that they will send me the 6800-2RS bearings. I guess PowerWay at some point has changed their design...

Kenneth, what wheels are those please?

Hi David, thanks for watching. They are CSC Wheels. www.carbonspeedcycle.com/ You can upgrade spokes and hub etc. Their prices have gone up a bit, actually a lot on eBay but if you buy direct I think they are still a great deal.

Good wheels or not?

Alexey these are Chinese wheels and have a couple of seasons on them and have been just fine. They got banged up in a crash and I was able to true them back up no problem. I have not run them tubeless so I cannot speak to that. The wheels on the red bike at the beginning of the video are also Chinese wheels and are 5 years old and have around 10 thousand miles on them. They have been just fine.
