One of the things that amazes me about Carter is his internal metronome. You can set your clocks by his playing.

I would love for Carter to create timing games... An app that's just a bunch of fun, off the wall, exercises and games to practice timing.

I couldn't imagine trying to learn an instrument and not having natural rhythm from the start. Guess I was lucky growing up with a drummer as well as dancing from an early age bcuz my strumming hand was there rhythmically from day one for the most part...

Thank you for this video, Gary. I think that groove and timing are such a crucial component of guitar playing. Without them it seems that songs have no soul. Gaetano

Wow, OK, this is something I really have to start working on in my practice. Thanks for this, gotta add a 5 minute exercise to each practice session at least. Maybe even start doing the metronome like that even when working on songs or licks. That was good!

Can someone please explain what he is doing ? I'm in 1 minute and already totally confused...
@PowMusic Жыл бұрын
In the intro, he’s progressively removing beats from the metronome while still playing in time and landing on the beats that are still playing. This means he’s able to keep time internally

Well, the music, everything's timing usually get good timing by playing with other people. That takes time this man didn't buy himself. I must follow.
