If the PCP version of the cp2 does hit the market I'm sure they will do well providing the price is right.

Done it, now have a PP800 with long barrel and in my CP2 stock, I had to swop over the hammer spring end cap though, I am very pleased with the results in .177. running around 9ftlb and getting 100 shots, great informative video, thanks

I've got the PP800 .22 and had it regulated with an altaros reg. It gave me 50 shots at 5.7 ft-lbr and 25 shots at 7.9 ft-lbr. (where I like it the most). This gun can be stripped in 5 minutes and is fun to set it up. I have the reg at 80 bar and just play around with different springs (still easy to change reg settings because the tube is so short that can change bars just with an electricians screwdriver, just empty it and unscrew the front cover). One thing to note: When regulated can be filled over 200 bars ( I pump it with 25 pumps up to 230 bar, no problem). I also plan to purchase the cp2 in .17 for the same reasons you mentioned. Excellent stock, interchangeability, additional spares just for the 150 Eur that the gun costs in my country, the additional barrels, silencer, calibre and CO2 option. The PP800 can be found in my country also at .25 and I've seen a guy set it up and shooting it at over 19ft-lbr (we have no power limitations in GR). This is a real capable project back pack airgun that I have no problem carry it in my short country site trips, fill it with a pump, accurately shoot it as a pistol up to 50 yrds.

Τα περισσότερα από τα tunning τα έχω δοκιμάσει (transfer port, new hammer, spring, reg, μου έμεινε μόνο το valve pin & valve spring για πειραματισμο-πάρε στο 6945 448281 αν έχεις απορίες, συνήθως μέχρι τις21:00

Update to my previous post, I went ahead and put the PP800 action in my CP2 stock, works well, i've no real interest in pistols so I picked up a 2nd CP pistol grip and shoulder stock with a nice little Konus Sightpro Red Dot, so I ended up with a light weight PCP rifle and a CO2 carbine plinker, win win.

I've kinda gone the other way and put the Zasdar CP1 pistol grip on the CP2. Unlike the PP800 this is almost interchangeable with some minor woodworking needed. It looks like your 'new' pistol. But I've fiddled with the CP2 a little bit, made it gas tight and getting up to 60 good shots per CO2. And if anything this increased velocity to 515fps 177 around 4.5 ft lb, not immense but more than enough for a target pistol. Tweaking it was to improve grouping not increase power, perhaps too much and can still be improved. Yes PCP can give you more power but without a regulator may not produce the tight grouping attainable with CO2. Yes CO2 is dependent on temperature but the pressure will remain constant in the valve body throughout the session, liquid CO2 vapour pressure, nominal 850psi. In stock form the CP2 rifle should produce almost 600fps 177, a little over 6 ft lb which is possibly inadequate. With a few minor tweaks 7-8 ft lb is doable, and reports from elsewhere pushing it to 750fps produce 10 ft lb and a good hunter. Although this does reduce shot count to only about 30 from typical 40+. Although relatively cheap the CP2 is very, very accurate. Good components perhaps let down a little by the factory assembly, and that can be sorted. The little Hawke is excellent on the pistol, and the rifle's rear plastic iron sight can be moved to the front breech to provide a crude co-witness; a blob of Blu-Tack replaces the height spring, I didn't want to do anything permanent or non-adjustable 😉

Great review Andy , I really do hope it will make it into production , it would be an excellent starter pcp as well as an competent close distance ratter .. would I buy one? HELL YES , will I buy one if it goes into production? NO ... I already have the FANTASTIC Artemis pp700 .. that truly is a fantastic pistol ( actually bought it because of your vid on it ) all i need is to get a stock addition after ive re-sealed it .. ( it was whacking out a considerable amount of power prior to me lowering it to legal limit , dont think that helped with the seals .. ) very good vid Andy , good old " down to earth " stuff , with AFFORDABLE content ... a lot ( and I there is a lot ) of reviewers out there are getting carried away these days with constant high end stuff .. gets on me tits a bit ... forgetting there roots id say ...

Further to my earlier post ..... I’ve got my PP800 from Spain - doesn’t have a UK flag on the side so I guess it’s full power. I don’t have a chrono but it makes the same dent in an oil drum at 15mtrs as my UK legal AirArms S410 carbine. On a practical note... I’ve put the PP800 workings into my CP2 stock - no problem. However... to put the CP2 guts into the wooden stock from the PP800 you need to take a 19mm auger an take out about 5 or 6 mm centered on the rear fixing screw hole of the PP800 stock. My CP2 doesn’t have the rear fixing screw but a lug that you need to make room for. I’ve only had chance to shoot off 2 magazines, but it seems awesome!

I have a CP2 and was already thinking of ways to mod it non intrusively for dual pcp/co2 operation, but maybe the best, most reliable and cheap way to do this id by also having a PP800. By the time I get all the things I need to pull it off I would be spending north of 100 Euro plus a hydraulic pump to actually test the safety before pressurizing the aftermarket components. Overall it is getting close to the price of a PP800 ... it might make better sense to have 2 guns, 4 magazines, 3 barrel, 2 silencers and zero tinkering.

I just got one , I put an upgraded silencer to Weihrauch sport using 1/2” adapter and a hawke vantage 1X30 red dot , and a barrel band with rail for light , down the range at 15 yards the grouping is brilliant for the first 20 shots , am using the FAC version now am thinking of buying a CP2 to give me more options , powers great to for a pistol , chronoed at 1st shot charged at 205 bar = 11.24 ft/lb 2nd= 12.56 ft/lb 3rd = 13.21 4th= 13.89 5th = 14.21ft/lb , 6th = 14.06 7th= 13.62 , 8th 12.98 ft/lb 9th = 12.25ft/lb 10th 11. 81ft/lb by the time I got to shot 20 = 10.54 ft\ lb ,, and pistol needs refilling .. as you can see powers good but I think it could do with a regulator for good consistency , if I turned it into a rifle with barrel and the stock I would expect to reach 18 to 20 ft/lb of power , not bad for a PP800 pistol lol, As I live in the uk i understand uk laws ,as in 6ft/lb , but this pistol needs to be appreciated , love your channel , think you doing a great job , any cp2,s going cheap let me know . Thank you for the review. Ok, you're right in saying the owner doesn't have to buy CO2. But how many CO2 cartridges can be bought for the $250 price of the unmentioned good hand pump? Around 250. 4: 48, in some of the PP800 .177 cal. magazines, the cylinder and exit hole don't line up exactly, but is fixable by carefully using a small rat tail file. This gun is the same as the Diana Chaser, which maintains the high quality. 6: 45, did you really make those shots without using a bench? 7: 35, another good example of bigger caliber not necessarily making more KE. It depends on the starting place. What interesting guns! Thanks again for showing.

The Victory CP2 is also known as the Diana Chaser and the Artemis PP800 is the Diana Bandit for those interested. The CP2 is hard to get outside Europe I've noticed and sometimes even the Artemis P800, but the Chaser is not nor Bandit, they are very common. Now retailers are even Frankensteining their own versions too, lol, like a Diana Chaser PCP, a .25 barrel swap kit for the Artemis P800 and Bandit and they sell .25 cal Bandits, they smartly played this, make a solid platform (and it is, people rave about the Diana products for affordable accurate shooting in the Chaser and Bandit etc). and then make it all interchangeable. So cool.

Hey Bill, I just received the Diana Airbug .177 2 Days ago and it is Very Cool Pistol and great price at 129.00. Right out of the Box the sights were dead on and has some nice power. It also comes with a 9 shot auto which is way cool. I didn’t test the FPS yet. I am wondering if the Chaser rifle barrel would fit on it or any extended Barrel. I don’t have a PCP set up yet or I would have bought the Bandit or the Beeman 2027 PCP. Take Care Scott
@MrBilld75
@MrBilld75 3 жыл бұрын
@@Sms68 Hmmm not much info on the Airbug and mods for the Airbug period. Although, just by looking at the two, I'd say "some" kind of Diana, Artemis, etc. will have something to fit it. The upper in that gun looks the same as the Diana Chaser CO2 and considering how they use this platform on most of their guns, I am sure something from them will fit that Airbug. They all use only two platforms and even those are interchangeable to a large degree, one for the PCP's and one for the CO2 and not much is different even there. I think the cocking bolt changes sides and one can take the .25 cal and the other cannot (without some modification and machining skills). The Bandit and other PCP's can take the .25 cal barrel I don't think the one used on the Chaser, Airbug etc can, although I could be wrong. Still learning about Diana guns myself. Seems the interchangeability is super broad though, so it strikes me something out there can turn your gun into a carbine with a longer barrel. It looks for all the world like the Chaser in a Bandit style ergonomic grip. Just looking at it, you could likely drop it into a Chaser stock and grip setup, so it may indeed take the same barrel? There was even people in forums talking about how little info. there seems to be about the Airbug, vs. The Chaser, Stormrider, Bandit etc. On the plus side, everyone talking about it, love the gun for it's accuracy, like most of their products. I think if anyone would know, it would be the folks in airgun forums, maybe join some and find out? That's where I found some info. and even then not much, but maybe by posing a question about it, someone will know for sure.

@MrBilld75 3 жыл бұрын
@@Sms68 Yeah I just subbed to AAR last week. It seems like a good channel. I don't own a PCP "yet" but am in the process of shopping for one. I don't really have a recommendation for a compressor, although I have an option on oil less compressors and oiled are better at preventing rust in the tanks, as they blow a bit of oil into them and line the tanks and extend their life. Even Campbell Hausfeld says oil are better than oil less compressor for lifespan. And they sell oil less compressors, lol! I just have an old 4 gallon Ingersol Rand general purpose oiled compressor that I will probably use for the PCP. But I should get a moisture filter/separator for it as that is a wise idea. I have one inline for my airbrush that I made myself out of a new fuel filter for a motorbike I think, cause paint and moisture don't mix, but should probably get a proper one for compressors. And people do recommend getting a moisture seperator if your compressor doesn't already have one. Makes sense who wants to be blowing moisture into an airgun? I think any cheap oil less or oiled compressor should do. Just ALWAYS make sure to open the drain cock on the tank when finished and leave it open. Because depending on the humidity where you live, moisture can build up inside a closed tank and corrode it that way too, not just when air is generated and inside it. If the cock is slightly off the the side like it is on many, tip the tank when drained of air, so that the remaining drips fall out the drain cock. Little trick a Mechanic showed me. If it mounted basically directly on the bottom, no worries about tilting it, but if it's off the one side on the bottom like many, tilt it toward the drain to "fully" drain it and then leave the cock open, so air can continue to dry it and moisture doesn't build up in it. Exploding compressors from corrosion over the years are no joke, saw a KZbin vid. of one (although this dude welded his drain cock, because of corrosion, so he had it coming and people told him, NEVER weld pressure vessels unless you are an expert welder of pressure vessels and know your stuff). He explained he knew how stupid he had been to commenters and it's something he would never do again and nobody got hurt, but man, it tore that thing up. Some people put them in a separate compressor room etc. just in case of something like that happens. Tools etc. can become shrapnel in the path of that. I noticed that a lot of airgun compressors sold by the like of Umarex etc. are tankless, like a car tire one and just generate air as needed, although I see people fill them from Scuba tanks etc. all the time too, so maybe it's just how they make airgun compressors, for lightweight portability, I don't think there is a particular reason they use tankless other than that and tanked or tankless should be fine. The Campbell Hausfeld's are generally pretty cheap, I owned a little one years ago and they are reliable, albeit loud. Seen many people use them for computers etc. and they make real small light ones. Like a little 1-2 gallon pancake tanked one, that is super light and was cheap, under $100. It just wasn't suitable for anything bigger than blowing stuff out or powering a small airbrush and I wanted something to power airtools, so I got a good Ingersol Rand used from a guy for $25, the same price I sold the little Campbell Hausfeld for, hehehe. I think Hyundai sells cheap compressors too, I see them at Walmart and have heard people say they are alright too and won't break the bank.

@@Sms68 if you don’t mind chineese compressors the hong yang (spelling?) have been out for a while and there are several videos showing how they have to be used. The pressures needed are 2000-3000 psi (two - three thousand psi.). This is 10 to 20 times more than a standard garage air compressor. I use the Hill hand pump sold by Air Venturi.

Liked the idea of trying one of these to upgrade my cp2, bought the pp800r version which is new and supposed to be regulated. I had high hopes but was disappointed, the regulation was terrible, I got one shot of good power then the velocity dropped and just kept dropping through the charge. Went from 5.6 ftl to 2.8 ftlb over 40 shots. Long story short managed to get it replaced with a pp700sa and what a better gun. A far more serious, quality gun which holds pretty consistent velocity all the way through. Single shot but still the gun to go for!!!

@@neilp9434 I've not owned the standard pp800 but I reckon the pp800r version I owned briefly was not regulated so no different. The cp2 is not regulated either but is about £ 100 cheaper than 800's and comes with long barrel and 2 mags. Best imo with the long barrel, they're a fun gun and prob one of the best c02 guns going for the money. They are accurate and go well with a small scope for a bit of pest control if needed.

Just done the conversion. Its not all that simple to do as the CP2 Action has a small plastic tab at the back of the action which prevents it being slotted into the PP800's wooden stock. A quick bit of fettering with a file soon sorted that problem out. So now have a PCP Cp2 in rifle mode and an awesome CO2 wooden stocked air pistol.

Is the air cylinder 40ccs or 50ccs? I’m turning mine into a FAC Carbine thanks to your idea. I have the Diana Bandit .22 and it is a tack driver to 30-40 yards. With the longer barrel…it’s velocity and shot count should improve and still be able to be thrown in a backpack.👍 I’m think of regulating it but haven’t yet since I will never shoot it past 40-50 yards with 16 grain pellets. Still…it’s you fault that I’m getting nagged at for wanting to buy the Diana Chaser Carbine kit just to convert my Bandit into a Carbine. Thanks a lot for a couple nights on the couch my friend.🤣🥴🤣😂😉💯

The old 2240 C02 guns had a detachable stock. I wouldn't mind if Weihrauch built a stock for the HW44. I put a TLR-2 that I use on my G-29. Anyways, after watching the UK guys snipe rats and mice, I went outside at night on the ranch looking for some rats. PCP pistols are accurate nowadays. I shoot open sights, and routinely hit the Crossman metal squirrel paddle reset target at 40 yards. I shoot pistol alot on powder burners, so I like the HW44. It's deadly accurate. I've taken rabbit in the eye at 45-50 yards. The Hades 15.8gr work well in it, and 18.13gr JSB too. It will take Terminator H&N 16.36gr. Bigger budget item, but it has rails.

I already own a cp2 (.177) and agree with you on the versatility and how many of the parts SMK, Artemis and Diana are interchangeable, I even researched the possibility of converting mine to pcp, but am reluctant to spend out on a whole gun to do so. IF they produce a pcp version of the CP2, I would definitely be interested! I have noticed a few "eliminators" making an appearance which screws in to replace the co2 cylinder, some are designed to allow you to use an 88g cylinder while some sturdier versions allow the user to go full PCP. This has piqued my interest and I may look into it in the future :)

A company in my country offers a PCP concersion of CP-1 pistol with custom-made airtanks. Since CP-1 is basically the same as CP-2 it can be done -but I'm guessing that it's not cheap. Buying a Stormrider and mating it with a CP-2 grip and stock may be cheaper.

@@Pijawek Oh it is quite inexpensive; I kept the Victory intact since I also own a Diana Chaser (pretty much the same as a Victory CP2) and I used what I learned to purchase the parts needed to do the conversion, none of which were particularly expensive. The initial costs of the airgun and parts to convert it to full pcp cost less than £200 (airgun £120, bottle £35-40, eliminator £18 additional fittings and stop valve about £12) The initial upgrade kinda sent me down the rabbit hole though, since I started fabricating my own custom parts for the airgun out of materials I had on hand, including a proper rifle stock, some brass and steel components and so on :)

Hi Andy. I was looking for a super light PCP that I can breakdown and put in a backpack. In camo look but with a right hand boltaction. So, your idea for the CP2 PCP is actually spot on, only for the boltaction. My brain is telling me that a max 20 min. Machine work from a export gunmaker could make it posible to change this in to a righthand boltaction. Can you confirm this? A man in your profession might know a gunsmith who might confirm if this is even possible. I do hope so, then I have found my dream air rifle. Hope the get a reaction from you. Cheers, Vince

Vince Goodett, Why not DIY? Disassemble it, drill for the slot ends and between. File between the drilled holes. Drill and tap the bolt. Clean, lube w pure silicone, and reassemble. Locating the bolt handle can be by drilling thru the existing handle hole, and the existing threads remain usable. Locating the 90° slot can be by running the bolt forward with the handle installed on the new side and marking w a scribe. File it 1/16" too close to the breech, then file back slowly to location. Leave it medium tight. Seems most bolts will lock by being turned counterclockwise too. It can be checked when removed. The most advanced machines I have is a drill press and band saw, and do this kind of work occasionally.
