If Ben John's has more letdowns early in these tournaments and Staksrud is more consistent getting to finals he may be the best at the end of the year.😊

In the first game, Federico Staksrud provided a glimpse of what is to come in the near future. While in the second game he struggled to replicate the same angle and speed, it's clear he possesses the potential. With more training to enhance his stamina and consistency, he's poised for growth. On the other hand, Ben exhibits remarkable composure and calmness, even during the most challenging matches. What stands out is his ability to reset himself after each point. Moreover, he consistently displays politeness and generosity in his call-outs when opponents have doubts. This isn't just a product of hard work and luck; it's a testament to his character as a true sportsman

Staksrud's speed (and endurance for that matter) is out of this world!!! Alas, Ben Johns has the upper hand in overall finesse, consistency and the ability to read/anticipate his opponent's moves.

I doubt you faced a true 4.5 singles player. Singles is the outlier in pickleball. Most players won’t touch it. They guy you played that said he was 4.5 was probably referring to his doubles rating and doesn’t play much singles. Also, always be careful when people self-rate themselves to you and take it with a grain of salt as most people overrate themselves out of pride and ego.

The PPA broadcasters need to LOWER THE VOLUME of the commentators and increase the volume on THE ACTUAL GAME. It's impossible to hear the ball when the commentator's voices are so loud and distracting. It's important for viewers and fans to be able to HEAR the pickleball and how hard it is being strucK. There are also the sounds that the players make whether through physical movement or vocalizations. SOUND: IT'S AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE GAME OF PICKLEBALL. GIVE US MORE PICKLEBALL SOUND AND LESS IRRITATING COMMENTATORS WHO DETRACT FROM OUR ENJOYMENT OF THE SPORT.
