Found a trick to getting the driver side line to snap in easy. Once you have the cooler in place, keep the single 10mm bolt loose. Slide the cooler out of the tab on the driver side and it gives you more play and angles to slide snap the line in. Once the line is in, then you can slide the cooler back in the tab, then tighten the 10mm.

I do not tow often but when I do it is usually 4wheelers and a side by side. I have seen high transmission temperatures when pulling steep gravel grades at low speeds in 4wd here in Idaho. I have stopped to let the transmission cool several times. The first time I stopped was at 232 degrees.

If i tow daily i would consider it but even then who knows if PPE just made a bigger radiator without counting anything else or if they took consideration of other facts..I’m wondering if nothing will change with this mod, like coolant flow ratio, and transmission cooling ratio when cold/hot temps apply..there’s a bunch of engineers working on making an engine for good reason..
@robertwotring73182 жыл бұрын
If you maintain the stock thermostat bypass, cold fluid shouldn’t be effected. I’m not sold on the PPE bypass as too cold a fluid is bad as well. In town/short trips you want some heat. Towing when the thermostat is open this thing should see more consistent temps and hold a little more fluid too.
@DemonWorks2 жыл бұрын
I agree with the engineering around the factory unit, but I also don't leave well enough alone. PPE has been around the diesel game a very long time. Very High quality products and while I don't have the data, I am confident in their R&D / Engineering.

Zero issues, this cooler has also been installed on 4 different trucks. I am assuming maybe your connector for the shutters is not plugged in all of the way. Double check that connector. No relearn needed.
