I like that you were able to show both types on the same vehicle and video. Very helpful.

Just got ppf on my car today. I have a few panels with those gray spots. If they don’t go away after 2 hours, can I use a heat gun to get rid of those?
@DriveProtectedАй бұрын
Let them dry naturally for 24 hours before popping with a diabetics needle. Do not use a heat gun.

Does it really heal after popping the bubbles and if you do it 4 monts after instalation the way you do it, is not going to lift up on the location that air was trapped? Thanks for answering !
@DriveProtected Жыл бұрын
Yes it will heal. Although, after that long I’m not too sure.

Have watch most of your PPF videos! Really great. I have some bubbles on a headlight wrap I did but even when I prick the bubble with a needle I can't get the air/water out? Is it because it cold out? Garage is 40 degrees.
@DriveProtected2 жыл бұрын
Cold would definitely play a part in it. Sometimes in this situation, all you need to do is pop a tiny hole in the bubble, and let it dissipate naturally if that makes sense.
@jk_jeep Жыл бұрын
Can this be done long after PPF was installed and there is an air bubble, or does this need to be done immediately after install?
@DriveProtected Жыл бұрын
Yes it can, although the longer you wait, the higher the chance you end up having outlines where those bubbles were.
@arnobashtar6707 Жыл бұрын
I know its a lot to ask but you have the best PPF videos on here.. Do you think you could do an install using a lower quality PPF to demonstrate to folks the difference? I'm talking about the PPF that is more prone to air bubbles and is harder to stretch, requiring a heat gun.
@DriveProtected Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the kind words. What I’ve found is that 99% of PPF seems to all be the same as far as install goes. Bubbles, stretch marks and other issues are likely caused by the installer and not by the film. We want to keep this channel very neutral and not claim which film is better as it ultimately comes down to who’s installing it. The only thing that could maybe be of comparison is how it looks after years of use and abuse.

What size of syringes should i buy for this? or can anyone provide a link?

I would recommend going to your local pharmacy and getting the smallest ones that they have to offer.

It won’t harm the car, but the film will get distorted in that area

Hey man. I started doing ppf by watching your videos. You helped me a lot. Now I do a lot cars. I have a question. Do you have any idea how to stretch the ppf without leaving a mark in the film.
@DriveProtected2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words!! Leaving marks in the film can come from a number of different things. Can you shoot me a email at eric@reflectionautomotive.ca and I’ll see if I can’t help you more directly

Thanks for the tip. Last time I installed ppf I saw so much bubbles, I started popping them all and I was like WTF is the point of this PPF install
@DriveProtected Жыл бұрын
If you have that many bubbles to pop, that means that you need some technique work on your squeegeeing. Properly overlapping your squeegee strokes, and going over the same spot a couple times can greatly reduce the amount of bubbles being left behind.

Great tip! Love the short videos of quick tips to mix it up. Do you leave the needle in while you’re moving the towel over it or just poke and remove immediately?
@DriveProtected2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! I will leave the needle under film while I move the towel over it. This allows for maximum moisture to be pulled out and soaked up by the towel!

Got XRPlus Xpel PPF & ceramic coating done on my new car. The installation were not seamless. There are so many water bubbles around the car and loose edges. They told me it will go away and the loose edges will be stick with heated gun after the 3 weeks curing period. Im clueless what the process is, anyone got any intakes?
@DriveProtected3 ай бұрын
I can’t speak to the tint, but moisture bubbles, most will go away with PPF. The edges is a lie. If they’re not sealed off now when the car is done, they won’t seal off in 3 weeks. If only it’ll get worse and peel. I’d demand a redo or fix the edges.
