Great job, love the respect you have for your car. With my c7 Grand sport , I also have xpel. I use a foam cannon with chemical guys honey dew car wash , section by section like you. Every section is done using the pressure washer and wash glove. I use p&s brake buster (diluted 4to1) for the rims/tires. Scrubbed and rinsed. I use a leaf blower to dry my car. Once dried I use (every 3 to 4 washes) a product called p&s bead maker. Boy does the water bead off but most of all you get a deep deep gloss. Well worth the extra step. Try it out. To finish it off, the tires get shined up with chemical guys VRP, nice shine no slinging. Trumpets get polished every wash with mothers mags and aluminum polish.

Thanks Tib, I appreciate the suggestions, will check out the bead maker, and the aluminum polish. Agreed, I don't mind doing this process, and it comes out looking so great each time. One other thing I appreciate about the PPF too, is that I don't have to be pedantic about a totally clean towel near the end of drying off. Unlike raw paint, if the towel has microscopic dirt/dust on it, the xpel is protecting the car. I'm a big fan of "do enough", but not go over the top. Like take reasonable measures to take great care of my things, but I don't want to spend my life using a clay bar, detailing lights, and spend hours washing and cleaning my car. I want to spend 3/4 of my time (or more) interacting with the car, doing actual driving. Have a great day, and thanks for reaching out! -Fred

Love the color combo you have!! Car looks sweet!! Question how much did it cost you to Xpel your car and where was it done? And how long have you had it? Had my SS 1LE parts Xpel hood nose rocker panels and rear quarter panels!

Thanks man! It was about $4k at the time. I had MacMulkin in Nashua, NH do it before I took delivery of the car, so I didn't have to drive it without protection. I got the car new in 2017, so 4 years so far, coming up on 5 in January. Car looks as mint as the day I got it. That's great you got those spots, that'll protect you for sure! -Fred

@@FredsFullThrottle wow 4K is a pretty good deal!

@@TrigunV4S Haha yeah. At the time I thought it was really expensive (with tacking it onto the cost of the car), buuuuut after reading what it costs separately, I definitely think they gave me a discount since I bought the car. :)

Awesome 👏 Fred. Is that the standard spoiler for a GS ? Damn too bad I’m not ready to buy, you did mention you’ll be selling it soon. this blue metallic is great, although I Do you like the aluminum finished wheels better than black or dark gray

Hi Stephen, Nice to hear from you! So I added the additional "wicker bill" spoiler to the GS, which comes on the C7 Z06. Truth be told, it was only about $150 from the dealership and I was able to install it myself. The stock GS spoiler is lower in height, but it was really easy to swap out and took maybe 30 minutes. We'll see when my car goes for sale (I will happily let you know when the time is just in case), but it will be a while yet. I'm in the upper 1100's for the Z06 list at MacMulkin, so I'm thinking at least 3 years out, if not 4 depending, so the timing may actually line up. If a ton of people cancel it might be 2nd year, but it's all up in the air. As to the wheels, I like the black ones with my paint (Admiral Blue Metallic), but other colors I like the aluminum finish. Not a fan of chrome, but some look good on certain spec'd cars. Go for what you like best! Have a great day! -Fred

@@FredsFullThrottle nice to hear ! I’m definitely 3 years out on my end savings wise, so this may work out if the timing is right when you’ll be ready to sell your GS. We will see how much they are worth in 3 years from now and how much I can work into my budget. I don’t like chrome wheels either. I’m sure if I seen your car in person those dark finished wheels wouldn’t look so bad. Highlights the black trim throughout the car which is nice I saw your other video on the Expel paint protection and that is definitely a nice thing to have done. Have a good day !

Hi Fernando, Thanks for reaching out. Not sure what you're getting at....the car has been super reliable and has had no significant issues in the 5+ years I've owned it. Anyway, have a nice day! -Fred

WHY DID YOUR CHANNEL DIE DUDE?
@FredsFullThrottle Жыл бұрын
Hi WalterWhite, It's not dead, it's just sleeping. Joking aside, I posted a video in April that explained the gist of it (here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHvIeqmabbR9Zsk). I've been spending more time doing things rather than focusing on capturing it through the lense. I found that the effort and mostly the time I was putting into YT wasn't worth the return I was getting (every video taking 4-6 hours to make), and that I wasn't really doing it for the right reasons. Also, as my interest in the Z06 wained (I'm not going to buy it when my number is called), I haven't been following car news nearly as closely. This past year was one of the best of my life, and wouldn't have been possible to do and balance juggling videos. I spent 2 weeks in Alaska, lived on the coast of Maine for 2 months over the summer, bought 2 motorcycles, did a bunch of autocross and worked on the Lemons car. Every spare minute was filled with fun! That said, I am going to periodically make videos when I find the right things to film, like the lemons racing, stuff with my Ducati's, and the occasional car news. I'm still saving up for my next car (likely a P-car), but am keeping the C7. I know that's disappointing for many to hear, but it was a huge relief and reduction in stress for me. Cars are just one of several hobbies I have, and I found it was cutting into those other aspects of my life. Hope this makes sense. Sorry for the disappointment, but in general when I do post videos, they will be about things I'm passionate about, and made for fun, rather than to get views. Thanks for reaching out, Happy Holidays! -Fred
