Try using a spatula! I use a silicone spatula/spoon with slime as my slip and it’s tacks with ease and install is insanely quick

Thanks for the vid. I looked this up to see what this was for a dealer installed package. Save me the money. Why not cover the entire car in door cup protectors? Lol.

Unfortunately my door cups come together with the door sheet instead of separate sheets like yours. They were a pain like you mentioned. One of those cups was where I got some fingers. Luckily you suggested using 90% rubbing alcohol for edge adhesive enhancer for something else, I got the idea. Well those fingers went away.

Have you tried tacking it around the top and bottom edges and using a hair dryer to help it stretch into the cup with a bit of tack solution?

I apparently have those door cups installed on my Chevy bolt EUV from the Chevy dealer.. They are full of mildew after just having the car for months. White car so it really is very obvious and looks horrible. Any suggestions?

Eric do you still use xpels plotting software? I am trying to find generic door cup patterns with no luck. All the ones that are vehicle specific fit like crap. Any ideas?

We do not use XPEL anymore. I personally am not a fan of any door cups. Maybe you could find a way to bulk install them? Im not sure.

I use Core film installation software and you can cut generic cups in various sizes. Just have to select Generic under the vehicle make drop down menu. I agree that 98% of the vehicle specific patterns are garbage. I’ve struggled to make any of them turn out good.

@@jesselucero8503 how do you like core? And how much is it? Trying to find costs of the different softwares is impossible. I like DAP but the cost of it is ridiculous

@@nateojala I don’t know the cost of it, but I’m sure if you gave Eastman Performance Films a call they could get that information for you. I like the software. Very easy to use and intuitive. I haven’t done a lot with editing patterns yet, but seems fairly straight forward. They are pretty quick also when it comes to adding new model cars.
