Thank you for 06:44 - you pushed them in all the way in the original instruction manual they are NOT pushed in all the way but line up with the frontpanel - which then of course will NOT work. After spending 20 Minutes trying to get it working like it is shown in the MANUAL I searched youtube, found your video, got the solution and build my bed. THANK YOU!!!

Just a suggestion for anyone watching if it's hard to connect the sides to the headboard and the back, you can rip parts of the carton the bed was packed and lightly with your hammer 🔨 hit it on top of the carton, so you don't chip the paint to get more power to connect the sides to the main fames. amazing video, this helped me a lot. thank you

This video helped me so much. I would have been so lost by just relying on the instructions from the box. Seeing where everything actually goes in real time helps more than you think. I also uses another video of theirs to assembly my kullen 5 drawer chest. Each video is detailed, comprehensive, and quick without any filler BS. In Assembly booklet, it is clearly shown curve should be up. Curve up is pressed down when you put mattress on it. If you put the curve down, you will get feeling like sleeping in boat|cradle. :)

I bought this bed several years ago. Then we moved and had to take it apart but lost the instructions to put it back together again. We had all the parts just not the directions. It took me two hours because I’m just not great with these things and I used manual tools not a drill. Also female and just not accustomed to doing this stuff on my own. This was a godsend and used as a reference point. My own Malm went belly up. The right side main bean would not catch to the headboard. Took me hours. I even had to stand it up to do it. My second Ikea build in a week and I feel the quality is not there like it was 3 or so years ago.

Good video. The only hard part is the diagonal things which hold the frame from changing angles, very hard to screw through. The metal is too pliant. Apparently Ikea has had a lot of customers having to get replacements for them for this reason (support told me)! I had this problem a few years past when putting one of these bed frames together, getting ready to do it again today (hopefully with more ease)!
