You guys've inspired me to, quite simply, go longboard. I was never really great at skateboarding (the tricks, anyway) I more prefered the feeling I got when rolling down a smooth stretch of pavement, with the wind rushing in my ears, everything else felt so distant and unimportant. I've missed that feeling. You guys need to hit up Canada when you're done with Peurto Rico. A cross country trip, East to West would be unbelievable to see. Do it up! You guys rock!

Hey cheche, Yes you can and if you file down the locktab on the truck and mount them directly to the deck without risers, you can get more pop.

Hi Bailey! Make sure when you're trying to slide you have 75% of your weight on your front foot, and about 25% of your weight on the back foot. I usually put my back foot towards the heelside rail of my board. It helps if you have some speed or you're going down a hill. Go into the slide like a carve at first. Once you are about 90 degrees, push out your back foot, and open up your hips and shoulders. This should bring you around to a 180 degree slide. Good luck! -Lindsay

Hey Jacob, I would recommend that you go with something like the Torpedo with S8 Trucks. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hey Elf, You can slow yourself down by turning / carving or by sliding (like you see in Pt. 3). Having a run out helps (even better if you have an uphill after). Until you are confident controling your speed its best to practice on hills with run outs. And even then, never start from the top of a hill you havent ridden before, start 1/4 up the hill and test it, then go a little higher every time until you reach the top of your comfort zone (for your skill). Then stop there until you improve.

Depends on the type of riding you want to do, For carving and cruising we still love our Original S8's. That said you will need something with a little more stability if you want to step up to more speed / bigger hills. It is all about how YOU personally want to ride, let us know what you have in mind and we can help out : )

@Denvjams69 check out the new carbon Apex 37! You could either do the flyweight if you want a flexier board or the middleweight if you want something with more stiffness. This is a great all-around board for all types of riding.

@lightdark173 Thanks for providing us with your height and weight. What type of riding are you looking to do? Check out the pintails if you are looking to cruise around, and if you are more advanced or would like to also do some tricks then check out the Apex 37.

The summary! You want to have the right set up for the right situation. Your flexier decks will be great for carving up hills with lots of turns to burn off speed. You want looser trucks, grippier wheels, and probably want to generally avoid high speeds. Your stiffer boards offer stability at high speeds. Keep them stiffer springs or bushings and wind 'em up tight to keep speed wobbles at bay. Also look into drop decks or drop through decks for that low center of gravity.
