सर, मकान या शेयर बेचने पर जो लॉन्ग टर्म कैपिटल गेन होता है वो पहले सेविंग अकाउंट में जाता है और अगर मैं एक महीने में ही उससे दूसरा मकान खरीद लूं तो क्या कैपिटल गेन अकाउंट खोलने की जरूरत पड़ेगी?

@@astoundtaxfin Assume bought new property at 1.1Cr and sold old SRA property at 70Lakh (assuming acquisition cost was zero so 100% LTCG, acquired 15 years back)..effectively cost of new property is more than gain..sale proceeds needs to be kept in capital gain account? there is no clarity.

Thanks for your clear and useful information. You say the capital gain liability is 12.5% of profit on property. This is fine. my question is will there be additional liability of income tax on the profit itself. For example, I buy property for Rs 1 Lakh and sell it for 5 lakh after 3 years. Then profit is 4 lakh. The capital gain is 12.5 % of Rs 4 lakh. But do I have to pay income tax also on Rs 4 lakh profit ?? Please clarify this point for benefit to all.

You have not discuss investment in Bonds. Long term Capital gain is calculated by Income Tax authority om.either Actual sake price OR municipal declared price of the region which ever is higher ?? The price declared by MUNICIPAL authority is based on statical calculation and not on ground reality. The property in city is if low than the arbitrary value it is not fair. How to calculate taxable long term gain ?

Do I have to pay any tax or not.If yes than how much. I was not aware to deposit the amount in capital gain account.

I presume that it is 15.12.23; instead of 15.12.24. You will have to pay tax. It is better to contact a CA who will calculate your tax and file your ITR as well.
