Miller serves the music in ways that elevate the play--of course Hildagoas and these masters interact in a very nice and flowing way. Miller's approach brings layers of texture and moments of expressive freedom which invite deeper listening into the whole performance because he IS in the moment. I do wonder how they might do in the same room, but am amazed anyone can create good stuff remotely.
