Master, You are doing a wonderful job for Taekwondo Practitioners. I have one request to you is that you please make DVDs of all Black Belt Poomsae & those who wish to purchase, can purchase it for study & Exam. Preparation Purpose. That will be a big milestone for Taekwondo Practitioners in their Taekwondo Career.🎉

One interpretation I learned about movements done over 3 steps, is the Poomsae / Kata giving you 2 scenarios: transitioning from left stance to right stance, and from right to left. The idea is: if you strike with your left hand and the opponent blocks it, you pull his blocking hand and proceed to strike with your right hand; and vice-versa for the opposite scenario.

Good insight. That looked more like bar 5 of Taegeuk Oh jang than Yook jang at the end, but either way, I agree that it is important to understand that the level of the kick isnt fixed and can be changed for bun hae. I really like how you explain the fist on the pulling hand of the palm strike in Kumgang as grabbing the sleeve of the dobok and pulling while striking. If you wanted to, you could use that move as a takedown when you strike the side of the chin. Good video.

It's good to see TKD is studying thr bun hae of forms, so that the practical aspect of fighting is kept alive

I feel like this is really practical. Reminds me of my Scandinavian Defendo teaching for that situation

Happy to see things like this! Taekwondo has suffered for a long time due to unclear movements in poomsae. What about the rest of the form? The spinning hop and rotating stomps in riding horse? I always thought they were throws, but there's a lot of room for interpretation.

He looks like a young version of my first teacher in the 90s, Grand Master H K Lee. This guy seems a lot more friendly though, lol.

1st movement (Are-Makki): you try to hit your opponent in the bladder area 2nd movement: you failed your 1st movement, and your opponent grabbed your arm, so you pull it, which brings his head closer to you and looking down, so you proceed with the 3rd movement by hammering the back of his head (vital point -> instant KO)
