Thank you so much Grand Master Byungseok Lee for teaching us practical techniques for these poomsae's. I'm 52 years old just got my red belt in Taekwondo. I've been out of the martial arts for 25 years. My flexibility is going very slow would you make a video to help us with that Sir. Thank You very much for all you do Blessings.

One interpretation I learned about movements done over 3 steps, is the Poomsae / Kata giving you 2 scenarios: transitioning from left stance to right stance, and from right to left. The idea is: if you strike with your left hand and the opponent blocks it, you pull his blocking hand and proceed to strike with your right hand; and vice-versa for the opposite scenario.

Did you uniform with the black y-neck come with the white pants or did you have to mix the dobok? I have never seen the y-neck dobok top sold with white pants. I like your traditional approach.

He looks like a young version of my first teacher in the 90s, Grand Master H K Lee. This guy seems a lot more friendly though, lol.

1st movement (Are-Makki): you try to hit your opponent in the bladder area 2nd movement: you failed your 1st movement, and your opponent grabbed your arm, so you pull it, which brings his head closer to you and looking down, so you proceed with the 3rd movement by hammering the back of his head (vital point -> instant KO)

Pareceu-me bem eficiente a técnica de colocar as palmas das mãos na lateral da cabeça e os polegares nos olhos. Isso feito de forma rápida, deve causar bastante dano no agressor. Muito bom! 👍

Na verdade essas aplicações são totalmente separadas. A idéia do poomsae, (kata) é esconder o real sentido. Taekwon!

Good evening Grandmaster, I'm notice that you aren't using the pulling hand when you apply the front kick. would you mind explaining the reasoning behind that? I'm trying to learn the applications and theory of these poomsae better and your videos are very interesting.

Many practitioners think the bear hug release is an energy move, so easily gets lost in poor teachings, the same as chil jang which has another release from a lower bear hug.
