If you want to make your life even more easy, you can look at the PCA9535 which does have proper push-pull outputs so you can drive LEDs without inverting them. Also this have 16 configurable GPIO pins on one chip, so it can be more convenient than having two pcf8574 instead. If only 8 gpios is required and no push-pull capabilities then pcf8574 could be a better choice. Thanks for a great video about pcf8574.

God bless you. I was hopeless, searching for information on why the voltage was low. Thank you very much. I'm really happy now.

I was wanting to expand my Arduino IO ports and considered using a shift register and 2 GPIO pins for clock & data, and then I thought of providing an interrupt if a switch was pressed. I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled across this device. Excellent video BTW

Thanks Mario! In your circuit description (where you show the second module appox. 5:07), I believe you moved the wrong jumper to set the address to 0x21. I haven't checked this myself, but you had just confirmed that moving the opposite jumper set the module to 0x21. Thought you might want to know. Your work is very helpful and much appreciated.

Grazie per il video Mario, un altro modulo che puù essere molto utile e, soprattutto, spiegato molto bene 👍

Hi Mario, as always another interesting tutorial...you have gained another sub 👍 I really wanted to try this out, however you didn't include any links to your code. Look forwards to the next tutorial.
Hi Mario, I have this PCF8574 module but I can't interface it with my 16x2 LCD display. Do you have any working connection diagram to connect pins P0-P7 with display pins and related example code? Thank you.

I didn't use expander for LCD display but I am sure this should work. I am not going to create such video as you are the only person asking this sort of question and that would be fair amount of work. What I can advice is to go to chatGPT and ask the question e.g."Can LCD 16x2 display be connected to Arduino so diplay data pins use pins of the expander PCF8574 " this should return listing of connections as well as code examples.

GREAT work! We'd like to offer you some boards if you need them in the upcoming content. (PCBWay Daisy) :D

Let me know what products do you have. I am already talking to PCBWay in terms of using the custom PCB. I will be releasing the first video in a matter of days where I would be giving the shoutout To PCBway for providing me with the printed circuit board. It was supposed to be ready in Jan, but I was busy at worked and had to slow down.
