Love the bunkai application. Bunkai should adapt to the change of time and modern-day attacks. Cross-train and find similarities from the movements of each techniques whether it is BJJ, wrestling or judo. More videos please. :)

Thx so much for your thoughtful response, yes, I think it’s important to continue the tradition of evolution as the masters did. In our modern day now, we have access to so much updated information on everyone’s training, it’s important to learn from everyone.

@@KarateUnity yes, though most karate organization has their own standards of interpreting the kata. It is best to enrich ourselves with knowledge through cross-training with other arts and pressure testing.

@@mynomadicnotebook2510 This works for me, but might not work for others. I personally have been enlightened by opening up through cross training, it’s like expanding your food tastes, if you eat the same food over and over again you MIGHT get bored, when I went over to Germany I tasted kangaroo! Yes kangaroo! Tastes amazing, who would ever think right? I take the same approach to Bunkai! Always trying something new, and open to new ideas💪

@@KarateUnity yes, very true. In my case I get easily bored when we're restricted with karate attacks (zenkutso dachi then Jodan tsuki). I guess it is up to us to pursue that knowledge. With the demands of modern life (work schedule) not everyone has the luxury of time to train in other martial arts like BJJ, Judo or Muay Thai.

@@mynomadicnotebook2510 But having said that, with self discipline there’s nothing stopping us from learning these things online and making connections to our art. Seriously, if you have enough discipline and some dedicated partners you can develop yourself quite well Just from KZbin!
