In the past, there were many tourists from Europe in Moscow, and there was even a visa-free ferry from Finland to St. Petersburg, it seems for a day, if I'm not mistaken. But then the Europeans said that they would ruin the Russian economy if they stopped going there. An amazing plan, and what could go wrong? Russia simply replaced European tourists with BRICS tourists, and only the Europeans fooled themselves.

@@expatamerican3234 So here it is:) So glad, you finally you got here :)) even 10 days will not be enough for this city. Some comments to your video: 1 About housing - in USSR apartments were provided for free after a years of work in some enetrprise. After USSR collapsing probably 95% of people got their housing for free (again) in new capitalistic way. Yes they are usually not big but it took away big problem with housing for most of people. Thats also the reason why not many homeless people on streets. 2 Average salary in Moscow is about 1400 USD which is twice bigger. Its still not huge but pretty comfortable to population because of much lower prices. And besides of that the taxes are usually much lower than on the west, for business aswel. So the whole money "system" works a little bit different than in western countries. 3 There had been 2-3 times more churches in the country before communists came and started fighting with it. So this is also a part of history and part of contradicted way of development. 4 Please dont go to this historical museum, its kinda obselete. There here are a lot more better museums in the city =)

Аарон внешностью похож на Голландского капитана морского судна из прошлых веков. Как у нас говорят - "морской волк")) Aaron looks like the Dutch captain of a sea vessel from past centuries. As we say - "sea wolf"))
