I have several things I need to do in the morning and it's all batched-up in TT as "morning routine". It takes me 1.5-2 hours per day. Included is checking my emails (10-35 depending on the day), newsletters from publishers and authors, social media (least amount of time) for me is Bored Panda; I might take a quick look on Pinterest and websites I need to visit (the 3 same every day). I'll recheck my emails (3-5) late in the afternoon. The rest of the day is spent either reading (my job), housework/cooking, and something on my list to do on TT (Income Taxes, contracts, working on my spreadsheets, etc.) that needs more deep work. That last part is difficult as I'm tired and/or think I can procrastinate for later on. Listening to this video just confirmed that I needed to cut-off or separate what I'm doing. Apart from my routine, I had 2 specific tasks I had to do every day and they were recurrent every week. I changed that to 1/day every 2 weeks and switched between the 2 tasks. Much better, less stress. I'm going to cut-off on BP to only one article per day so I'll have to be choosy. Did Arnold Bennett write the book How to Live on 24 Hours a Day? That's where the quote from 1912 came from. I have that book. Really interesting. Help keeping priorities. There's a big difference the way I use my phone and how my husband uses his. I don't have emails, YT, etc. on my phone. I use it for TickTick, WhatsApp, pictures, and when we go on vacation (boarding passes, etc.). The rest is done on my PC. My husband uses it for X, LinkedIn, emails, messages, etc. He's much more on his phone than I am. If we're both in a waiting room, I'll either people watch and listen to their stories or pull-out one of my e-books; he's going to check his phone. LOL.
