And that’s what we do, my man! The journey never ends.

@@mattfranceschini i’m excited. I get to see Julian Lage tomorrow evening in College Park, Maryland. This will be my first time to see him in person, but every time I watch him play on a video Or just talk about music and life it makes me a better musician. His joy is infectious…

I've found myself just taking one small thing in a song I'm working on and trying to change that. Similar concept to what you were saying. If I can play a tune for 10 minutes a day and add one new thing everyday then in a month I have 30 new things I can play over it. All of this really adds up and consistency is key!

Love this approach! Consistency is truly key!

I need to use the timer, badly. Have gotten pretty loose the last few days with losing track. Had 90mins pre work today that was hijacked by me harmonising the E major scale. Yes, was a great in the clouds experience and I leveraged a heap of hybrid picking out of it but I got nothing else done and it's been happening a bit more often than ideal. Video was a good revisit of the canvas principles and timely reminder about being timely 😮

Some days it really can go all out the window! Best bet is to aim for mostly "good" days in a week, but I know you know this ;)

Can you do a lesson on this jazz standard ❤

That's a great idea for a future video!

@@mattfranceschini I’ve only been playing guitar for a year and this is the first time I’ve heard this standard. Well Maybe I’ve heard it before but didn’t find it interesting enough. I went hunting for a lesson but nobody plays it quite the same as you do. It’s the first time I really felt like it’s something I wanted to play!
