Not only is the Ninelie part amazing, great integration of Steins; Gate Movie ED, the Kabaneri Ep 1 OST,
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was listening to a lot of the S;G Movie ED at the time (truthfully, I have a HUGE project for S;G laid out, but no time to transcribe/arrange.) Also, when I heard the epic G minor soundtrack, I knew I had to arrange it. It was a calling, haha.

This is, without a doubt, the most unique Ninelie arrangement on youtube. The technique is simply dazzling, the intepretation is a breath of fresh air (really like that steins gate ED and Kabaneri OST addition :3 ) Simply amazing as always :D And lol I thought you in a relationship with your waifu ;) nah I doun't blame you, Sleep-chan is just too attractive after-all lmao. Good luck surviving that black hole xD , and looking forward to your next work :D

haha yeah, I'm studying med as a freshman right now (learning something like Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry atm) really fun...but also really tiring lol (somehow I manage to arrange some mediocre 20 mins medley inspired by your Reverie lol) Good luck with life man :D Can't wait for your next work !

Glad to hear you're still arranging despite the workload of med school. Looking forward to hearing it then! (Haha, and yeah. I saw your post about Lippincott's and rifampicin, so I just wanted to confirm my suspicion. =P)

@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long...x.x Yeah, I hope to stand out with my arrangements. Actually, I think my style leans towards mixing songs together --- since I use similar techniques that many others use in J pop or classical music.

Chris Luan (阮克理) After re-watching it many times the arrangement seems incredibly difficult! O_O Isn't it your most difficult arrangement so far?
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the length is probably a big culprit here. This song is up there in difficulty along with Psycho Pass ED (Namae no Nai Kaibutsu.)

Sometimes, I wonder if my arrangements are overly complex or unnecessarily hard though. Perhaps my arrangements sound interesting, but they're often hard to the point of almost few people being able to play them. It looks like I have much to improve on still --- so that I can create impactful, memorable, and more playable sheets.
@AniMuffinPiano7 жыл бұрын
It depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you want people to play your sheet, you shouldn't limit yourself just so people can play it. Also I don't think you should worry too much about difficulty because that's part of why people go to your channel, your creativity. I understand your concern. It's best to avoid thinking " I have to create something good" and just listen to your inner mind.
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but then if it's too hard, uploads could be delayed and sometimes, even when I upload, I'm not completely satisfied with my execution. I think Ishter said something along the lines of..."having so many ideas but not being able to execute them." With things like music, there are countless ways of putting notes together in a timeline. The question is just which way(s) is/are better than the others --- for the essence of the original song/source, the audience, and lastly the performer.
@AniMuffinPiano7 жыл бұрын
Yea your last sentence is very true, but we must not forget why we make arrangement at the first place. Even if it is too hard, if you enjoyed creating and playing it, that's enough. Deadline is unnecessary pressure to me and I think you should take as much time as you need since this is not your career I'm assuming. And also don't fall into the trap of making it difficult because I want to be creative or original. Do it because that's how it sounds like in your mind.

Really wonderful arrangement! Btw, could you tell me whether had you heard the version of Animenzzz's before you finished your own arrangements? Since, some places sounds quite similar with that.
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
So Animenz and I originally worked based off the original song. He finished first, and I gave him my praise. I continued working, not on the original song, but on adding new parts to the song - i.e. extended section from the OST and the key change. Yeah, we have similar ideas at times since both of us have similar backgrounds in music. Except he has more experience and knowledge due to his post-high school music education. (I'm pursuing a bachelor's of science and aiming for a medical degree later on.) Given this, I'm not surprised when people compare me to him...then again, I'm no longer surprised when people compare anyone else to Animenz. =P

oh btw I am a bit curious and would like to know, which is the hardest piece you can play atm. Since you play on a really high level
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, go ahead! Hm, the hardest piece I've ever played or what I can play now? As far as J pop piano repertoire goes, Pianeet's AKIBA Pop the Future is probably one of the hardest pieces floating around. That piece to me is like the Islamey (by Balakirev) of J pop arrangements. As far as classical music went before I started college, Rachmaninoff Piano Concertos, Liszt etudes and Sonata in B minor, and Islamey are all extremely and uniquely difficult.
@DareruPiano7 жыл бұрын
Oh shiet... Thats quite the beasts you have tamed lol looking forward to your next upload. Do you already recorded one of your other arrangements? ( I am refering to some from your second channel or is it somethi g completely different :D)
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I have actually recorded a snippet of an early alpha test for Departures (alpha test since I've made many revisions since then.) But, I'm dressed about as (in?)appropriately as the floppy-headed trash dove is for normal posts. But yes, I have many completed arrangements including songs from Ano Hana, Final Fantasy, and Kara no Shoujo 2. It's just hard to find time to learn and record the songs now (and probably until summer) since I have so many academic and extracurricular activities ----- my professional development must still come first, like Animenz with his degree. I'm similar.

Hey, Chris! Which song is the intermission part right after the final chorus and before the main riff outro? It sounds so damn good, and I'm wondering if you've transcribed that part alr.
@ChrisLuan7 жыл бұрын
Hey, if you're referring to the part after the key change, I adapted it from a piece in the OST called "KABANERIOFTHEIRONFORTRESS." And yeah, everything in the video is transcribed. I will release when I make an official upload for this cover with improved audio.
