It just gives the instrument a slightly more mellow tone by dampening the higher frequencies. It is a very slight difference though 😭

I don’t know his mouthpiece but he is a Yamaha artist, so I’d assume it’s a Xeno C trumpet.

Hello @shophar, I was looking for the same information. I searched on Yamaha's artist's web page, and I found that he has played in the YTR-9445NYS-YM and YTR-9335NYSII models.
