Great conversation! You guys both brought up some points that really made me feel for the first time in my adult life for me to admit that being humble is struggle that I have because my pride would not allow me to say that out loud. And never once have, I considered the fact that shame and pride go hand-in-hand, because there was a lot of trauma as a little girl for me, and it helps me to better understand perhaps where it comes from. I do know that I am trying to create a false safety *net for myself often and that definitely reveals that I’m not fully trusting in God. And I need help. The closing was great where you talked about remembering where all of our good things are qualities are blessings come from, and that definitely should be enough to be so thankful and humble. Thank you for always being super honest because I myself could say that I look up to you guys because of your strong presence online. Don’t get gassed up now. LOL love the Perry’s!

This breakdown of the beauty of humility and the tragedy of pride is so real. I found myself in a lot of your words and sometimes not in the humble parts. But it reminded me that pride is a murderous characteristic and if you are not careful it will help you kill your connection to God first and then others. 🙏🏾…

Pride for me looks like "wanting to be important than anyone/everyone else" it looks like "I want to be glorified" It takes me back to the fall but I see that in my own behaviour a lot! The whole conversation for me has allowed me to unpack alot. When I choose humility, it's when the Holy Spirit or people call me out. It looks like... "if this will keep me away from God then I cannot have it" Giving up and asking Jesus to give you strength, acceptance and wisdom/discerment to always choose the way that keeps you with Him. Amazing conversation. Loved this episode.
