Aaron, have you ever listened to Maharishikaa? I've been on board with everything you are teaching and am actually a student of A Course In Miracles I'm on lesson 38. Maharishikaa says everything you say basically up til this point. She says the only practice we need is SURRENDER to the guru within, surrender to MA Shakti. She says that enlightenment is a different spiritual path than surrender. She says that we have to identify with the body to a very specific point, she encourages her students to identify like this- my name is Jennifer daughter of Nancy From Illinois (United States) but that's it, no more because anymore is ego. She says that every guru including all the ones you speak about are having cosmic transcendental experiences BUT every single one of them has to come back to the body. This resonates deeply with me but she says that mediation like it's done in the Western world is not necessary but the only practice is to surrender to soul by physically bending down everytime one becomes aware of ego, emotionally surrender by bending and turning inward to Soul and loving Soul...she talks about bending, bending bending, surrender, surrender... She says that the transcendental state that meditation and other practices bring one to is not helpful because that was the old way. The new spiritual path is to surrender to the guru within always. I am really interested into hearing your take on this...I have been practicing everything you teach and am having beautiful experiences but this surrender practice has me bending and surrendering and feeling oneness to a whole new level. Please look up her KZbin page she only has like 3-4,000 subscribers but damn she has me questioning a few things. Thank you in advance!

Aaron, could you do a video about how we can lead and guide our children toward light and service? My son's were not raised in the Christian tradition. My oldest son was bullied by a kid in a Universalist church for being gay, so he is convinced God does not exist. We have modeled social justice, service, and a Buddhist tradition of self-compassion and compassion for others. My youngest son also says he doesn't believe anything, and when I talk about how we choose our path...he says he never chose to be here. I would love some insight on how we can serve those closest to us, without indoctrinating them to something they are opposed to learning?

Aaron, I'd encourage you to explore the book Alcoholics Anonymous. It is a religious text. Replace drinking for thinking and you'll see the ego's story. The steps have a lot of power for much more than quitting alcohol. As a spiritual seeker, I was really surprised and delighted once I actually read what the steps were and took them.

Actually the 12 step program is based on vedantic principles. The founder of AA (Bill W if i'm correct) used to be friends with Aldous Huxley and some others witch we're interested in the vedantic society created by Swami Vivekenanda in California. Especially Hollywood if i'm correct. Swami Sarvapriyananda of the vedanta society often tells about this, when monks we're coming to the house and there were a lot of addicts because they provided a space for these meetings. So in that Light the first chapter of AA/NA "Who are we" makes perfect sense, just as other chapters like "more will be revealed". Even though my person is still suffering from addiction, it whas the addiction that brought me home in a way (how paradoxical) But like Aaron explains it is the person that suffers the addiction and I AM only the awareness witnessing it. Nonetheless i hope that the addictive ego will surrender, but even if it doesn't i'll know for sure that it hasn't anything to do with me. Behind the addiction consciousness is perfectly clear, perfect etc. The addiction only makes the projected movie harder to watch and makes it harder to explain Vedanta ( as far as it can be explained). The AA/NA groups keep saying that its a spiritual but non religious community but in my opinion (the Netherlands) they turned it into some form of religious cult. Because when one finally finds his higher Self they will make fun of him/her that is such a shame in a way. But these groups really helped anyway. The fact that you have to keep introducing yourself as an addict brought me home. After 2 years of saying that something snapped. I sensed that there whas something wrong with this, left me crying on the floor at home asking (more screaming) "Who the *** am I" within two months everything changed after that very important question.

I don't know if you're familiar with the map of consciousness by David R Hawkins. But he calibrated the level of impact that each religious group has had on the collective consciousness, and the alcoholics anonymous groups calibrated the highest out of all the groups. At level 540, the level of unconditional love. That's higher even than the impact of Christianity

Funny i started with the 12 steps but its for people who thinks they are a person so no really freedom there so i left it for the real deal freedom from the addiction that one is a person but pure consiousness in a vessel called the body so now when i meet the 12 steppers they cant get their head around why im so happy all the time and can live with out their 12 steps i say if you say I AM a alcoholic then you are so one have to be aware what one says after one says I AM as it becomes ones truth and spirit cant be an alcoholic only people who identefy as body and mind can.. Peace is the natural state now. It's wonderful after so much suffering of the awakening. I feel that now also the body is healing because the mind is like an ocean without waves. So many projections fell away as clinging dropped. Pure love ❤️ The only thing I miss, (or is it ego?) is, that I don't seem to find anything I'm passionate about anymore.
