Been watching your channel for a while. Ever since, I go watch back and forth for different fragrance reviewers’ channels. And evertime I go back and watch your channel, here are my thoughts / feelings: - comfortable feeling as if we visit our youngest uncle in his house. You know, a type of uncle that in age not to far older than you, and has similar interests with you with a lot more knowledge and experiences about things - a comfortable feeling of that poin #1 completed with a nice & comforting ambiance of a cozy room / house - that way, make us feel that any fragrance you suggest will likely be changing our thoughts, especially those fragrances that we might haven’t tried Or in a simple word: Like meeting an old friend in a cozy cafe after a pretty hard day of working, to talk about subject / interest that we both like.

Prada Amber Pour Homme is an absolute masterpiece!!!
@western-oud18983 ай бұрын
It certainly is...I remember about five years ago my local Boots store were selling their last "about six" bottles of amber pour homme "made in Spain version" 100ml for £40 ..to this day I kick myself that I didn't snap them up because the new made in France formulations are weak and the older made in Spain formulations on ebay are now going for over £150 +...

@@western-oud1898 Absolutely!! And that's the reason I jumped at the opportunity at 70.00 per bottle!! The version I have is the purple 🟣 juice version.

Hi sir. Prada amber pour homme is still available but sadly it's been reformulated. They have added lavender on top but the juice is so watered down. It still smells great but doesn't last at all.

Thank you for your continued output. I have both. Of the two the Guerlain is my preference. It's interesting without being too out there. The Prada is soapy, clean but really doesn't offer anything else. It's very safe.

AC Thank you very much for spending the time to create these videos. Your videos are not about the same 6 fragrances that are being hyped at the moment. I find the channels I like the most are yours Mark's (Robes08) and Peter (Scent Trail). Maybe I fit the demographic for you guys more I am 68 and retired in Vietnam. Based on your videos I recently picked up Guerlain Homme EDP, Sandalo and Beau Du Jour. Getting fragrances here can be a bit of a pain in the a** and middle eastern brands are not readily distributed here. I have a trip to the states coming up in a week and I have a haul there waiting for me to bring back Berry Oud Body by ASQ, French Tabacco by IAQ, Marj by Ahmed al Maghribi , Honor for Women , Chopard Happy, Chopard Spicy Electrum and quite a few more. I think the clone brands are putting pressure on the designers and even the niche brands to up their game a bit and the traditional middle eastern brands like ASQ, IAQ etc. in addition to all the newer ones like Gissah, Laverne to name just a couple seem to be gaining western popularity. If you have any suggestions for high heat and humidity please let me know. Again thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and time.

Thank you, and yeah I have done a few videos on fragrances fit for high humidity. The ones that really work in high humidity just off the top of my head are Gueralin Homme Leau Boisee, Timbuktu, Vetiver Sensuel by Mancera, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, Kenzo homme EDT intense. I have reviewed all except the Mancera which I shall review very soon.

Bought 2 bottles of Prada Amber Pour Homme at the great mall in San Jose CA. 100ml bottle for 70.00 dollars so I got 2 bottles because it's such a great fragrance and I refuse to be without it!! I really feel fortunate to have stumbled on such a great deal .

I feel that the Guerlain is Wasser's reaction to the aquatic and blue fragrances that were popular at the time. Polo Blue, Issey, ADG, Green Irish Tweed, Missoni wave. I think he saw what they market wanted but decided to do a 'Guerlain' version, creating a cool, watery accord using natural smelling ingredients rather than ingredients with no reference to nature such as calone, or uber strong melon or citrus. As someone who likes 'cool' fragrances but dislikes the synthetic, fruity notes, Guerlain Homme was a revelation. The only other fragrance of this category I can enjoy is a very unusual one, Aramis New West, which builds a cool blue fragrance using bitter herbs not unlike yatagan, with very little sweetness. Highly recommend you try that one, it is absolutely unique.

The Sultan of Swindon is back!! Great review! I got a sample of the Prada and full bottle of the Guerlain, prefer the later even though performance is patchy. Heck my wife stuck with me inspite of the performance so why should I let go of the Guerlain 😂. Now for some Swindon trivia: The British actress from Lagaan (2001) Rachel Shelley is a Swindon native. Keep up the great work champ! Great shirt btw!

Tough one for me i think prada amber is fantastic i should've pulled the trigger when there were bottles going for 35 quid. I have the darker bottled amber. But the mojitoness of the guerlain i really like to the point it was one of the first fragrances i finished a bottle of. Only thing guerlains dont last long on my skin. The prada performs much better

L'Oréal were making Prada amber pour homme but its no longer the "made in spain" version its now the "made in france" and its not very good they've totally ruined it..L'Oréal is where prefumes go to die..L'Oréal take over a company and then ruin all their good fragrances
@paulhastie68503 ай бұрын
Emmm no. I own both versions. They smell exactly the same. Lilial was removed, hence the change in colour from purple to grey, due to being banned, but they smell the same.
@western-oud18983 ай бұрын
@@paulhastie6850 ..nowhere did I mention they didn’t smell the same..the difference was the how weak the L’Oréal formulation was and much more transparent and lighter..maybe the formulation you have they’ve made better and more like the original formulation
@paulhastie68503 ай бұрын
@@western-oud1898This is a common misconception. Apart from the colour of the liquid, the Spanish and French variants are identical in every respect; it is exactly the same product. Sillage, longevity & the scent are exactly the same between the 2.
