Prada Ocean Le Parfum 1st Impression

Ok so this fragrance is a skin scent, it’s soft soft. It was gone from my arm 6 hours in. Reapplied and became a skin scent again within an hour. Becomes a creamy oak wood on the drydown for me. But this is a soft scent. If you like bold scents, this won’t be for you. Maybe this fragrance needs to macerate 🤷‍♂️

Thanks. This is out of topic, but related to a skin scents. Few days ago I wear Prada L'Homme Intense. It's very quick to become at skin scent. Is it so? If not then I might get nose blind or I got bad decant. Thanks

@@nixland I haven’t worn it in a few years. It’s a soft night time scent. It did sit closer to the skin for me. Which isn’t a bad thing. I prefer L’homme and L’Homme Leau over it personally as I find the dna to work better as a fresher soap scent.

Might be in the minority but personally prefer the EDT over the EDP. The bottle looks pretty cool I’ll admit that; looking forward to smelling it for sure

The ladies prefer it as well! EDT rocks. The bottle is dope, very different scent profile. Weird they call them all ocean when all 3 are different from each other and not aquatic

Nah, I'm with you as well. Was at ulta yesterday trying to convince myself to like the edp. Not that I don't, but i have enough winter and fall scents. I ended up getting another bottle of BDC edp. Only had the parfum, and It is a bit heavy for the summer. But yeah, ocean edt is where it's at..

@@brasstacksboxing409 agreed bro it’s a bit fresher vs the EDP which that Ocean EDP DNA can be found in so many other options. I went to Macys by my house in Austin this past weekend they didn’t have the new one out yet. I’ll reserve judgement on it until I’ve actually smelt it but the bottle looks dope no denying that.

I have the edt, it only last about a hour on my skin but within that hour it smells amazing and I’m starting to love it, was planning on buying the EDP and the le parfum I hope I don’t regret the purchases lol

Dang, an hour?, time to start moisturizing! It gets me through work just fine, but I always spray skin and clothes. All 3 smell pretty different from each other, only thing they really share is name.

For a date night I’d take the YSL, kind of similar but it smells more elegant while this one smells more sporty. The lemon brings it up in minerals, it smells a bit aquatic despite the woodsy notes from saffron and vanilla. It really feels right anywhere this perfume IMO, I would dare using it during the day with a polo shirt and shorts to go to the Country Club but it also reminds me more about nights spent with friends taking aperitivi in Sicily at some restaurant next to the beach. It smells like Mediterranean woods molded by the sea and left on the beach under the sun, it has wood and it has salinity. It feels very versatile, opposite to what some reviewers pointed out saying “I can’t see why Prada released this winter scent right now between spring and summer” and to an Italian islander like me it really feels like a summer perfume as well.

Macy’s sale is back and I picked this up tonight, Jeff. Got a really nice compliment within an hour of spraying it. Somehow it’s almost giving me PDM Herod vibes? That saffron and oak might be doing it. Either way this is turning out to be a very enjoyable scent to me.

I have Prada Luna Rosa Ocean EDP and I wish I could return it. Not a fan. It smells good but it certainly doesn’t last long at all. Probably my worst blind buy

I don’t have none but supposedly the EDT is fresh, scent for spring/summer/ works for fall. EDP is more like a year round scent. But not too fresh I think. But they all look cool even the Le Parfum

To me, the open smells like unsweetened chocolate. Took a bit to get to the mid. I prefer the EDT best.

The edt lasts like an hour max Everytime I use it and projection is very mid if I do use it I do like 15-20 sprays

What frags have similar scents with the ocean parfum?

Nothing of the top of my head. It works similarly to Prada black, but different scent profile. Some compared it to CH Men Prive, but it wasn’t like that for me as it’s not boozy, but they though the oak note was what it reminded them it was it’s definitely Oak-y on the drydown.
