Prada Saffiano Tote 5 Year Update! | Is it still Worth Purchasing in 2019?

Mirbag bag love the quality and it came with every pocket and compartment just as stated in the description. I particularly like the length of the handle it sets nicely on my shoulder not too long or too short plus the sturdiness it seems to have.

This video raises some really interesting questions. Personally, I don't care - beyond a certain point - about trends. Either I like it or I don't. But the qualification 'beyond a certain point' is there. I cannot put my finger on when I would stop liking something because it was now 'out'. I do like this bag, very much so. I think it is well worth having. And the price is very reasonable. Thank you for the video!

Hello, you can wipe off the mark really easily. Use a slighty damp microfiber cloth (straight from the washing machune) then wipe again with a liquid non coloured leather cleaning conditionning lotion. The marks will disappear .

The Double bag looks like the Saffiano. I am not a Prada person so to me they look alike so I would say that neither bags are dated regarding style as they are simple rectangular shapes. The Kelly bag as we know it came out in the 1930's (it was changed from its origknal 1892 size) and is a rectangular shape so the Prada bags could be from the 1930's or from today.

The Kelly's are more historical and will never date. Maybe it's because the Saffiano grew it's hype so quickly and equally lost it quickly too. It will remain in my collection but I will definitely retire it.

I think it's a timeless rectangular handbag, I'd be shocked if a timeless plain single coloured leather bag ever becomes grossly unfashionable. They are selling new ones on Prada website in Australia for $6000 (£3000?). Only differences: label inside says Prada made in Italy, not " Prada Milano" and the current 2023 "large" is the older style "medium".

It looks like a great work bag, I recall the hype but like anything it's had its day. There's always something else waiting in the wings and with the age of social media we see what they want us to see. What the next "it" bag is going to be, the next big "hyped" must have etc.

I don't think a bag in a classic shape and color ever really goes out of fashion. It all depends on what you like and will never tire of. Also, in my opinion unless you're a multimillionaire, I don't think money should be wasted on trendy luxury bags at all unless you truly love it and will wear it anyway when it goes out of style. However, I don't think a galleria will ever go out of style. Maybe it won't be trendy, but it will never be out of style.

I’ve been considering getting a Saffiano/Galleria (I guess they’re the same thing?) or a Double Bag, but I’ve seen some pretty beaten up, slouchy a.f. second hand bags for sale online and that made me question Prada’s quality - which I’ve seen many people complaining about. I guess I kind of saw that coming for the Double Bag, which seems to be made from thinner leather but, judging from pictures of the new bags, the Saffiano seemed to me like the kind of bag that holds its shape forever. In fact, I find that the second hand Dougle Bags even aged better than the Saffs but maybe that’s just because they have not been around for as long. Anyway, even though your Saffiano is in very good shape, the more I research about Prada, the more I set my mind on a Sac de Jour, lol!

Oh no, I was going to buy a red saffiano tote from neiman Marcus. There’s one for cheaper on Italist but I don’t trust authenticity. Now I’m second guessing. I love the red & I love the shape but I didn’t realize it was such an old style.
