I would say that most people who hate this collection don't understand it because it doesn't relate to the trend-driven clothes that they buy in the malls.. This collection is beautiful and weird, and refreshing. It is really sad that people cannot look past the mall, or even worse, the instagram-driven "fashions" from the Kylie Jenner types..

Qué pena que nunca muestren a latinas de verdad. Tan sólo a Mica que es una Latina real. La chica que mencionas es muy bella pero totalmente Europea, sus abuelos serán españoles o de otro país europeo. Me causa mucha lástima, siempre se habla del racismo contra las negras pero nunca contra las latinas que no tiene comparación porque no nos representa nada más que una modelo. Es muy triste, quizás no somos un mercado importante ya que aquí no hay tantas flagship y ni somos ricos pero la discriminación no es justa.

+Anemia Hematocrito En parte estoy de acuerdo contigo. No sé de qué país seas, y pues obvio yo no sé mucho de la historia de los demás países latinos a diferencia de mi país que es México. Los rasgos variados y diferentes en las personas mexicanas tiene su historia. Todo los mexicanos somos mestizos, por la conquista de los españoles a Mexico. Forma parte de nuestra historia tener genes Indígenas y Españoles. Es por eso que en México hay también gente con ojos azules, cabello rubio y piel clara, pero no por eso son menos o más mexicanos. Yo soy moreno claro, y tengo lo que podría decirse más rasgos latinos, como tu dices, pero de todos modos, forma parte de mi ser mestizo (indígena y eañol). Mis dos apellidos son de origen españoles, y eso no me convierte en español. Han habido y hay modelos con rasgos morenos, como por ejemplo Daniela de Jesus Cosio y Elsa Benítez o Jonathan Valdez, los tres son mexicanos y son considerados top models.

+De garcons Exacto, eso es lo que pasa con Prada, depende del diseñador. Aparte, en México que por su mayoría es gente con rasgos morenos, prefieren contratar modelos con rasgos claros, también, no digo que sea malo, pero si esa diversidad no existe en México, no esperemos verla en Milán, New York, Londres o París etc. Simplemente queda aceptar y apoyar el talento de la gente latina o de nuestro país, sea como sea. Me enorgullece mucho ver a una mexicana en Prada, y una modelo que apenas comienza su carrera, apenas es su segunda pasarela internacional, no puedo decir más, más que apoyarla y sentirme orgulloso. Conozco mi país y hay de todo tipo de gente. Para mi ella sigue siendo %100 mexicana. Además esto sirve para dar otra vista a la gente de los mexicanos. Ya que mucha gente de Latinoamérica y del mundo en si, creen que México es sólo gente morena , chaparra y bigtona, cuando en realidad es una cultura demasiada variada.

The Prada show is never about the clothes, although the stuff in the stores now, that whole mix&match and argyle socks with high heel sandals is fabulous for fall 2016. But these Prada shows are all about selling the purses the shoes and the belts or keychains not the clothes. But people will def buy some pieces.

Its called a "signature", and ALL successful houses do it. Chanel tweed, Dolce lace, YSL suits, Marchesa embroidery, Max Mara neutral tones, Pucci prints, Versace sex....its all designed for consistency and customer loyalty. Socialites don't want to wonder if they're going to be able to purchase something they like from the next Prada collection, that want to KNOW. Prada produces, every season, for those who like what they do. They're not "putting on a show" just for the excitement of it all.

The collection is ok. It's definitely something that would come from the House of Prada, but it's not a stand-out collection nor does it push the envelope in terms of fashion. Of course, Prada really specializes in their handbags, which is probably what they are pushing in all their shows. I will say the excessive fur made no sense and killed some outfits.
