Personally I think that this was one of the best shows made by Miuccia. Something that is important to understand is the fact that Prada's inspiration comes from current political, social and economical aspects that are moving the world. I agree that sometimes she creates collections that seem off, but if you sit down and try to analize the meaning behind it, you will get the concepts behind the collection. Migration and mixed cultures are (for me) the key factors of the inspiration. Loved every detail from the show!

piatastica Well besides watching the interviews and reading the reviews about the designers and shows I analyze the key asthetics from the shows. In the case of Prada you can see the mix and match of elements that at the end create an idea. Style.com and ShowStudio are two of my favorate places for research

Writing a paper on the representation of the feminine in modern day fashion. As someone who's overweight and represents that in her art - I was legitimately shocked at just how small some of these models are. For real - are these girls okay? Jesus. Em geral, os desfiles em Milão conseguem ser mais tediosos do que em Nova York. As marcas são, de alguma maneira, muito tradicionais, virtuosas, sisudas ou parecem só muito bobas. As exceções: Prada, Gucci, Fendi, Marni e Damir Doma. Prada e Gucci estão imbatíveis no circuito NY-Londres-Milão-Paris, por enquanto. E do que você gostou?

Not really into this PRADA collection the “Ports O' Call Prostitute” theme. The looks are a bit clunky...The white corset piece seems a bit pointless, if your going to make a corset MAKE A CORSET and make it SEXY. The Brocades and Jacquards are being done better and younger by others, the dark floral prints. Still applaud Miuccia...she is still more innovative and progressive than most designers. Shoes are smart.
