Snoke's guards are also Praetorians, only the ones from the Mandalorian series are the first recruits, so they had different armor because at that time the empire had not yet become the First Order.

Its funny how Kylo nor Rey used the Force against these guys in TLJ which suggested, amongst the other material from the past like the staffs the Royal Guard used against Ezra and their armor protecting them from his Force Push, that they are impervious to Force Powers. Glad to see it finally confirmed that they are not resistant to Force Powers and that a Jedi actually used the Force against them well. They and Gideon were the only thing I wanted to see from the Finale. A bit about the Armorer and Bo, but that's about it.

It could be that the suits were upgraded after these two battles. The fight in the throne room takes place after all of mandalorian season 3, the helms being different might not be the only thing that changed after their run in with grogu. We already know 3 guards were replaced now that we know Mando kills the three

Since the Sith is almost extinct in the Skywalker/Mandalorian timeline, I want to see a High Republic adaptation after the Acolyte where we see the Jedi in full strength facing a factions using electrobolt melee weapons like the Praetorian guards. The Nihil from I remember from the comics did have similar weapons like electrobolt axes and spears. HR timeline is the closest we get to see Jedi lightsaber fight against melee energy weapons after the Old Republic Jedi-Sith wars.
