Caruana is a really good classical player and the format for classical in Norway Chess is not a typical classical format. They are not giving additional time after 40 moves, and the increments are also just 10 seconds. The two endgames Caruana lost, one is Q+P vs Q+2P, the other is N+P vs N+2P. Due to the new time control, he barely had time for these endgames. In the traditional format, this probably wouldn’t happen.

Just consider that 1.7 million is just 0.1 % of our population. If he gets to a billion, which I think Chessbase can given the early movers advantage in India, that would be really nice. Otherwise there are a lot of stupid channels with over a billion subs.
