Even though I am a beginner, I knew alot of what was contained in the course already. However, if anyone is reading comments before committing 3 hours I do want to say that I wish I found this video sooner, as I would have learnt everything I did much faster. Devin does a really good job of explaining some basic uses of Power Automate and any self-respecting tech head could find dozens of flows to mix and match to make work easier on these basics alone. Thanks for the video Devin and everyone else at Pragmatic Works :)

I can't believe I just sat through a 3 hour video, voluntarily....I was glued to the screen. I learnt so much, it was easy to follow and understand. Also by not editing out the mistake (which of course was by design 😏) perfectly explained how to correct such things. I wish I had watched this before I started trying to set up Flows way back, it would have saved me soooo much time.

I also am glad you mentioned the option of Virtual Mentoring. I can imagine getting to points with the systems I am developing where such a resource will be of great value.

My advice for anyone starting with power automate that want to learn fast is to do as many real world projects as possible, when starting a project test the outputs of your actions and save often, google is your friend don't try to reinvent the wheel, it's a buggy platform and a real pain to work with but it can also be really rewarding

I finished an UiPath RPA developer course, but we are still in a year traineeship now, working with clients but once a month we do training, and so to make us learn various tools, we are learning Power Automate too (the school plans to pay for a PL500 exam too for us to get cert)... I am looking for a way to create a tool which automatically takes employees' information from our company's intranet (which is SharePoint-based) and inserts the data into table cells in a Word template in order to build what we call a team sheet. Let's say that I want to create a team sheet listing two employees: Mary Jones and John Smith. Mary and John have their separate pages on our intranet which contain their photos, names, job titles, phone numbers and email addresses. Is there any way I can get the tool to locate Mary's page on the intranet, insert her photo into one table cell, insert Mary's name, job title, telephone number, cell phone number and email address into the next cell, then do the same for John? Thank you so much. 💕

Great video. I am a power automate rookie and this is a great help. thank you! If I could ask a question - I have a Shipping Request form issue. PHASE 1: The user fills out the request for items to be shipped by the warehouse. The user receives a confirmation email that it was sent to the warehouse. PHASE 2: The warehouse completes the shipping and another confirmation email should go to the user when the form is set to "SHIPPED" I can't get the second phase email to work. (it just sends 2 emails at the same time, the second has not waited or reacted to the warehouse action)

There's a lot of learning in one sitting! Kudos! I was wondering if the same process goes when you want to create a Calendar Event after an action set to "Approve" from a Trigger List. Most online lecture show an email receive after the Approve, but what if the Approver not only wants to receive an Outlook email but want to update his/her calendar. That would be amazing. @1:37:55 Can't you add another action beforehand to harvest emailadresses of an AAD group, and then use a variable to insert those email-address?
@desktopdatacrunching4032 Жыл бұрын
You could be then there'd be a few more actions needed to make it into a semicolon separated list. If you don't do that then you'll need to loop over the approval action for each email in the variable.

You have done enough for me in this great course, however, I have a small issue I am unable to figure out. I have made an approval cloud workflow, and the only issue seems to be the dynamic content. I have tried File Id, File name encoded, file path encoded, file etag, content type, file content - and always get an error in the link that it puts in the email. Is there something I am missing? I feel like I have tried so many options and watched other videos, which all seem to match yours -so not sure what I am missing. Looking for your assistance.... thank you again - this was an amazing course.

So, my flow is : Recurrence>List rows in a Table> Add a row in a Table. So for the very first month (January), it runs well, however when my flow runs for February, it also pulls January data again along with February data. How can I stop getting the data that is already pulled by the previous run? Please help me out.
