I hate to say I am envious but I am , I used to ne in Montana and pop dogs in Montana and make runs to the Dakota's to reduce numbers and save cattle for ranchers but supplies are non existent where I live and I have not had time these last two years , My custom 243 and 7-08 are always bangin on the safe door lol

Awesome! Nice choice, I shoot the rodents with a .243, Shilen barrel on a Mauser action. I just switched to the 87gr V-Max on it and my 6mm ARC.

I enjoy all your videos but I really love when you bring out a .243Win. Whether it’s big Bertha for the p dogs or the tikka developing deer loads. The .243Win is one of the best cartridges for varmint-deer and you showcase its abilities well.

CD great video. I like that same 87 vmax. I like social distancing!!!!! I use a 90 gr hpbt MEF. I have about 45 left of Walt Bergers last batch. They shoot a little over an inch at 400 yd most of the time. 88s and 87s right behind it. 70s are the lightest I shoot. I have a special reamer for a 243 bullet and a 270 shell case. If you like speed and those 243 bullets.

Love it man yall have some really cool places to shoot up there... I done the same thing during the social distancing thing either on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting and not a soul around me just the way I like it. Good shooting and great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

This is fun to watch. We don’t have these in Louisiana. I bet it’s a lot of fun. Do you pick them up or do you leave them for the varmints?
@r.awilliams98152 жыл бұрын
Leave them for the coyotes. Wild prairie dogs can carry the fleas that harbor black plague, so it's best not to handle them, live or dead.
@Duke_of_Prunes Жыл бұрын
Do you guys ever hunt nutria down there? I still have my mother-in-law's house in New Orleans, but the only wild life around town are the rats! 🐀 And we have coyotes at my house in Mississippi -- still too far South for groundhogs.

I am working on a new 220 swift I had built. Remington 700 action with a 30 in bedded brux barrel 7.5 twist rate. Shooting 80 gn Berger vld match bullets. Using hornady brass for now till Norma makes some more lol. But it’s shooting 3 in the same hole at 100. Haven’t stretched it out yet. Got a 700 yard range for testing
@donbenson52922 жыл бұрын
I have a Swifter too. 26 inch 12 twist and it shoots 60 vmax and 65 sierra lead tip bt like that. What powder and velocity do you get.

hello cavedweller what do you think about using a bullet puller to remove varmint bullets and then replacing them with solid point bullets in a 22-250? i have a bunch of hollow point rounds that i don't need and am running out of psp ammo.

Went out for a week over the 4th. Lots of people have educated the towns I hunt. Shot every thing suppressed, made a huge difference. Your comments the last video on the numbers guys come up with still makes me laugh. Shot 22BR and 6CM. 53 grain Vmax for the 22BR and 87vmax in the 6CM. The 6CM was almost like cheating, had a spotter and it sure makes a difference.

@cavedweller1959 Жыл бұрын
No clue! Haven't seen more than a couple box's of factory ammo in the last year, brass of any kind is about as scarce.

Do miss your older shooting video style. You-Tube censorship absolutely SUCKS! Would love to do some long-range shooting. Never done so as I don't have access to such things. Keep on doing that what you do so well.

There is no good reason to kill for sport most of all they are productive creating overwinter places for lots of wildlife .i hunt deer and hogs and ducks leave the rodents to nature this is very cruel eat what you kill I also reload about 9 calibers but punch paper and deer hogs

@cancermonkey7334 Жыл бұрын
@@Patrick-xd8jv’d love to see @scottzipperer6146 clean and eat those disgusting rodents. I doubt very much that he lives up to the credentials he listed. And he probably doesn’t understand what you said about tearing up the prairie. Maybe he’d feel more compassion seeing cattle or horses with broken legs from those holes in the fields. We can just enjoy CD’s videos and support his channel so he can keep putting out content.
