I can testify of the power of praise. I am naturally a very anxious person, raised in a home where worry = love. But, Philippians 4:6,7 has become a comfort, guide, and safeguard for me. I encourage anyone who is overcome by anxiety to just stop and ask God to help you take the thoughts captive....praising Him and thanking Him leaves no room for the spirit of fear. I just returned from a procedure and learned I have a recurring tumor in the bladder after being cancer free for 8 years. I have to have surgery once more. I experienced this anxiety last night. I just couldn’t ease my mind enough to fall asleep. Stayed awake all night. Questioning my self, am I good enough, will my daughter come back to Christ, will my husband’s surgery next fix the problem so he will be pain free, and not have to wonder when will be the next time it dislocates.
