1.) Claire decided to go to Poland because she wanted to make amends for her lying. 2.) She found out that Lviv is located in Ukraine, not in Poland anymore. 3.) Yes, they did. And I'm so proud of them, and also I'm really proud of all the people who protected our motherland. They're heroes! 4.) No, I haven't been there, but I really want to travel all over the Europe! This is the reason why I decided to learn English (I'm learning British English, but your videos are also useful to me.) (Please, let me know if I made any mistakes.) Your videos are very helpful and understandable! The novel, that you wrote, makes phrasal verbs easy to learn. Thanks a lot!

I like travelling topics like this. A geography lesson as well. 1. Claire was sorry of telling lies to her granny so she wanted to keep her promise and visit Poland; 2. She discovered that Lviv is situated in Ukraine not Poland; 3. My great grandfather was a veteran of WWII and died soon after its end. I also know that one of my great grandfathers was murdered by nazi; 4. Unfortunately, I’ve never been to Poland. This country calls back quite controversial feelings, but I have no right to judge correctly due to my poor knowledge of it. Jack was right to go there because each country visiting experience richens any traveler.

Thank you, that's interesting! Claire turned out to be not real American, she might have even Ukrainian roots, that's cool!) I was upset to know that she isn't going to Ukraine, she is going to Poland instead. If Claire goes, there might be another interesting part called "Claire's advantures in Ukraine" with fat, pigs, borcsh, you know. I'm exaggerating, Lviv is such a beautiful town with great architecture)

I thought about this twist, but I started to study the map, and realised that it would be very easy to get from Austra to Poland, and not so easy - to Ukraine. Moreover, it might take a lot more time, what is crucial in our situation.

Очень толково. Один вопрос: в тексте было написано "helped me find", а вы прочитали "helped me to find". Как всё-таки правильно? Thanks!

Thanks for your interesting story! Now, I'd like to answer next questions: 1) Claire promised to her granny go to Poland to get money from her. 2) She found out that Lviv is in Ukraine now, it's not even Lwow. 3) Yes, I did. My great grandfather carried some bread on the Road of Live in during World War II. 4) No, I haven't been in Poland. 5) Yes. I'm really agree with Jack.

1 She wanted going to Polish because she was ashamed by her lies to Granny. She decided keep her promise. 2 Claire find out that Lviv locate in the Ukraine. 3 Of course I did. My grandfather was partisipant WW2. He told me a lot intresting stories about the war. i proud him anв I glad that I knew this person about thirty years. 4 I have been twice in Poland. Last time it was in 2019. Expecially i liked Gdansk and Krakow. It is the really pretties cityes. I think that Poland is a very undervalued country in terms of tourism. I liked it more then Italy.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to Italy. But Poland seemed to be a very nice country. It was comfortable to be there. And the people were nice.

1. Claire wanted to go to Poland because she wanted to justify herself in front of her grandma just somehow, because when she was in Paris and her trip was going to end officially (because she wasn't there on her own expense, on the company's one, the company in whose radio quiz she won, she also won a trip to Paris by correct answering to all the questions in the quiz). So, Claire was out of money and asked her grandma for some because she didn't want to go back to the USA, she wanted to visit Austria because her cousins had tild her that Austria is amazing. But Claire couldn't confess to grandmother because in that case she should have said her reason for not having a wish to come back home, so Claire lied to her granny that she wanted to see her motherland, Poland and asked money for that Haha, I retold and, in parallel, renembered a big part of the story) 2. Claire found about Lviv that it is in Poland anymore, it's in Ukraine and called a bit differently 3. Honestly, it's a shame, but I don't know... I know that my grandmother and grandfather are "Children of the War", but when there is 9 of May, we rerely go to the parade and we don't have portraits of out relatives who fought to carry the portraits to the "Бессмертный полк". So,I can guess, my relatives lived while World War 2 was, but didn't take part in this 4. No,I have never been to Poland. I don't really like this country, don't know what specific I can see there,so I would prefer, for example, Austria to Poland
