Спасибо за объяснения. Наверно, как и для многих, это самая сложная тема пока что. Но мне кажется, не сложно ориентироваться благодаря ключевым словам, стоит их запомнить и практиковаться, тогда все получится. По смыслу я понял, что когда ЧЕЛОВЕК1 как-то хочет воздействовать эмоционально на ЧЕЛОВЕК2, что этот ЧЕЛОВЕК1 таким образом ставит ЧЕЛОВЕК2 в позицию принуждения (не заставляет, а именно настойчивость некоторую проявляет своей просьбой) сделать что-то, то логично использовать should в этом варианте. Она настаивала, чтобы он хорошо питался - She insisted that he should eat normal food. Сложно объяснить, но у меня это в голове такая схема построилась))

На самом деле, все верно. Это встраивается где-то на уровне ощущений. И я согласна с тем, что увы описали.

Because he supposed it was essential that they should do something to find Sarah. 3. What does he think about Claire’s actions? I don’t want to appear stupid, but I don’t get a question. 4. I want to say that she, of course hot, but I've never thought about Clarie that way. It's kind of confusing me..

What was that between Claire and me tomorrow? I know he was very depressed because of this story with his sis. I really don`t understand how our folks can be so calm about this situation. I mean, It`s important we should do (or do) something. It seems Claire understands me. At least She calls me to catch up on the news. It was kind and cared of her she went to me yesterday, brought me some food, said to me that was vital that I should eat (eat) healthy food. She insisted I should cheer up. Then we started watching a good old movie from our childhood. When we sitting on the couch I even didn`t notice how we slipped into each other`s arms. I swear we almost started kissing. Наверное, вы что-то перепутали. Сериала нет. Это я для себя назвала "сериалом". Эти тексты пишу я, в поддержку грамматики Мерфи, для того, чтоб было больше практики. Потому что люди занимаются по этой книге, а примеров маловато. Чтоб их было больше, я и составила данные тексты.

Здравствуйте Елена Викторовна, в процессе практики опять в голову лезут вопросы😂 никак не пойму одно: 1)почему глаголы как : insist, recommend, demand , propose, and suggest используются они все в прошлом времени ? все примеры о прошлом с ними, вот ваш пример : The doctor recommended that I stop smoking. Можно ли сказать это в настоящем времени? типа : He recommends that I should stop smoking? 2) и Почему «She had to go to “ studies “ ? А не просто « study “

Доброе время! Очередная благодарность за урок! После урока делаю упражнения из книги, и потом проверяю через ключи.ТАк вот в ключах есть 3 варианта ответа. Напр. She insisted that I should stay.../ I stay .../ I stayed... (34.1.2) Неужели вариант I stay можно употреблять? Я так понимаю, что I stayed попадает под косвенную речь и должна быть "просадка" по времени от I stay , если She insisted? Благодарю.
