because we are talking about the past, the verb cannot be in the present tense. you cannot say "I invited him to stay as long as he needs"

у них нет отдельного слова для "гадалка". При переводе тот же fortune-teller используется

@@okenglish-practice ну да просто у меня гадание ассоциируется в английском с фразой Guess what?! А тут дословно имеем ...-telling - ...сказание, teller - рассказчик (-ца), поэтому ...-сказательница. Как-то мне так думается. Но это всё такие мелочи тут. Скорее очень важные только для символической поэзии. Я этим тоже немного регулярно занимаюсь приватно для друзей и для себя. ))

@@okenglish-practice ну, это да. Но в русском языке тут общий корень: Гадать, угадывать, отгадывать, догадываться, гадалка.... Есть ещё и старое слово вещунья! От слова весть. Ведать. Знать. Противоположность угадать. )) Поэтому, тут имеем богатство вариантов для фантазии и ассоциаций для перевода... )) Kinda guessing work. To guess somebody's nearest future. To tell somebody's nearest future. Как варианты. Может это только мой личный ломаный английский, но через такие изменения и меняется язык... Его очень интересно ломать таким образом. Развивать, обогащать или растягивать... Особенно в lyrics. ))

@@TheSason666 Да, конечно, так и есть. Все зависит от корня слова. И подменяя корни, собственно, можно легко человека запутать и увести от смысла. Простой пример ситуации, развивающейся на наших глазах. Появление слова "толерантность". Раньше было "противно", или хотя бы "неприятно". Теперь "толерантно". Но если тебе неприятно, ты хотя бы называешь вещи своими именами. А если тебе "толерантно", это как? Какие чувства ты испытываешь? Через слова идет прямое воздействие на наше мироощущение.
