Daemon my friend, not Demon. Daemon (Day-mon) being a word for “spirits” which can be anything. Demon is a corruption of that word and refers to a specific type of evil spirit. Edit I should also say that the Ancient Greeks classified the Daemon or Spirits in three categories : 1) Agathos Daemon or Eudaimon which means “good spirit” which was any form of benevolent spirit. Usually the more Olympian or “heavenly” type spirits. But also sometimes divine nymphs on Earth who almost seemed to be celestial. There is also a God named Agathosdaemon who is considered a God of good luck and prosperity. And some say that it’s a title for Zeus. So whether Agathosdaemon is a separate God or it’s Zeus I don’t know. 2) Daemon which are just regular spirits. They’re neutral being neither benevolent or malevolent. They’re just there. This encompasses most of the nature spirits and even some ghosts. They are neutral. And finally, 3) Kakodaemon which means “Harmful Spirit” and this really was both a Demon in the modern sense of the word, as well as an umbrella term for any evil spirit in general. An evil nature spirit, an evil ghost, an evil God etc...

Everyone has an Agathos Daemon (Good Spirit) or spirit guide. This is a special ritual and prayer offering to them asking for their benedictions. Daemon, not Demon. Daemon (Day-mon) being the original Greek and Latin word for “spirits”. Which can be anything from Gods, Faeries, or even the dead. The word “demon” is a corruption of that word and refers only to a specific type of evil spirit. Monotheistic religions use this other word. Because to them everything Pagan is thus evil. So it doesn’t matter that a Daemon could be a good spirit like your Guardian Angel. To them the word is straight up evil and that’s all there is to it. But that’s what this is. Also there are some people who believe Agathos Daemon or Daimon was a giant serpent God of good luck who shed all your bad luck off of you like snake skin. And his wife was Tyche (Lady Luck). But not everyone believes in him. Personally I do. I think he is the embodiment of all our spirit guides. A God of Spirit Guides and Luck. Edit Actually there are three classifications of Daemon/Daimon in Ancient Greece. So perhaps I over simplified it. You have the 1) Agathos Daemon also called Eudaimon 2) Kakodaemon which are the evil spirits and some of them could be classified as Demons. 3) Regular Daimon which are neutral and tend to be nature spirits.

how you interpret it is your own. Orpheus was associated with the mystery cults which has its own understanding of religion and stuff. you can research this sorta stuff. the simple answer to what does this means is that it means several things and you can use it however you would like to.
