Pranayama breathing is an ancient yogic practice that involves controlling the breath to improve physical and mental health. One specific pranayama technique involves exhaling 3x longer than inhaling.
Breathe in 4 seconds
Pause for 1 second
Breathe out 12 seconds
Hold for 1 second
You can breathe in and out through your nose, or you may find it easier to breathe out through your mouth like you are blowing out a candle.
