For these long neglected below poverty line people, Modi was the only PM who saw, heard their problems and tried to alleviate them. My neighbours are mostly poor people, labourers, daily wage earners...for these people life is very hard BUT they do not have to worry about going hungry tonight or cooking gas, or a roof above their heads. Middle class people like me, who have some kind of decent jobs, some money in bank account, maybe a car in the garage....these are the segment of voters who can change their opinion about Modi. And by the way most people I talk to have one common theme when talking about Modi: Modi is not corrupt which seemed to matter a lot to them.

What he is saying is reasonable. There is a visible decline in stats of analytics and survey opinion. That is mostly because the core supporters are no more super concerned about Modi's regime getting replaced. They are assured. In the public space, the maximum noise is made by the hardline supporters and hardline opponents. Since hardline supporters have reduced their nose levels and hardline opponents have become more rabid, so it appears as if Modi's popularity is declining on a broader level. This is misleading analysis and will be corrected in the elections results on June 4th. The overall popularity of Modi as PM has increased tremendously but now it is increasing among the silent voters. They will not say anything but still dutifully vote for BJP. Remeber one of the slogans of BJP is -- Chup chaap kamal chhaap. Meaning -- remain quiet and keep voting for lotus. From now on, it will become harder and harder to gauge real popularity of BJP by standard surveys. Most of the surveys are manipulated to be in favour of Congress ecosystem anyway. Even if someone designs a survey to be unbiased, it will be a very difficult thing to achieve because BJP is slowly making "chup chap kamal chaap" as it's official position. In the 2029 polls, I think it or its variants will be the main slogan. Wait for 1 week. BJP alone will win about 360+ seats and prove my assessment correct.
