I believe your comment on nepotism contradicts the usual narrative around nepo products about how cocky they are and not at all zen. Even among nepo products being a good person is a choice and not something you are born with. In my personal experience too, I have encountered calm and collected folks among all walks of life. But don't mistake me, I do agree that money and parental back up does give a privilege to be calm personally, its just not the only reason.

I sense his father is protective(maybe slightly over-protective) & cares alot abt his son. But prashanth is the one who wants to remain at his comfort zone. If he wants to do a movie, why can't he make it work by himself or even try directing by himself with some assistance from his dad/any director-friends.. he should be taking more challenging roles to get to top rank these days, youngsters are working much harder. There's no free lunch.

BR sir and for the folks who feel Prashanth is not being honest - This reply is for you guys. 1. Coming out and facing an interview itself is a choice and as an Interviewer you should create a positive environment. All through the interview you want to make him feel low and break his confidence. Seems BR, you lack life lessons and experience than Prashanth. Glad to see Prashanth over these years have emerged soo strong and matured.. ❤ 2.There is nothing called failure as such. Its just the perspective we look at it. Infact the more when things dont go the way you have expected, it is when you reflect over and improve which definitely takes you into a direction that may give you so called success. 3. "Success and Failure is dependent on External world while satisfaction is Eternal within oneself". You may not succeed in something but still be satisfied with the toughest path you went thru. Negative Motivation. This is exactly what Prashanth means and I am able to completely relate and understand the mindset. I learnt it with my life exp and best souls around. 4. What are you expecting him to answer BR? Looks like you have derived the answers and want him to give the same answers. Remember it is his life, all about him. He has all rights to say or not say about his struggles as it merely recreates a painful, negative energy, sympathy etc. Not of any use. 5. Finally, do you think as a human setbacks in both personal and professional life would have kept him sooo happy and unaffected just coz he has family and financial support. Its obvious he would struggled a lot within to stay motivated as a human soul. Isn't it. Nothing comes easy guys. - Haven been a "Kadhal Ilavarasan", wouldn't it be difficult for him not to have a life companion for himself till this age. - He has seen all the highs and lows as well in his career. Hence he remains unimpacted. He beautifully gives an explanation as well, on his brought up and flexibility to adapt "Take Life as it Comes". Simple. He must be a person who appreciates others and feel happy for their growth. At the same time works upon his betterment as life unfolds... Thats it...💯💯

He knows clearly well that what went wrong but the problem is his marital problems added fuel to the fire which made his film career a debacle, between 2006-2009, he signed many films which could have been a real career resurgence for him but his marital problems made him to drop all those films and only to go into home productions films since "Ponnar Shankar" till now..

He isn't delusional. You are the weak one here being surprised that someone like him can stay strong despite adversities. His thinking is different from the average Indian people. I mean what do you expect ? For him to act like a typical emotional Indian and cry or take his own life is it ? Man give him a break. In India, so many children try to end their lives just because they can't accept failure in exams. Compared to that, Prashaanth is beacon of hope to say that one doesn't need to be too extreme if things don't work out well in thier life. He is acknowledging that somewhere in his life, things didn't go according to what he expected but he is able to stay unfazed by it. There is nothing delusional about it but rather encouraging to know that Prashaanth shows a level of daringness to remain steady. Look at the interviewer. He is trying to break Prashanth with the questions and Prashanth is very clever to know that.

Prashanth is a kid born with golden spoon. He can’t be compared to actors like Ajith, vikram, vjs, sk etc. Even actors like Surya, Vijay they have put in so much of effort doing different types of roles, keeping fit and doing entertaining films for the position they have in cinema now. Prashanth should work with good directors instead of the father. He should lose weight, do different types of roles, giving interesting and entertaining films. Prashanth should come out from the “santhosh subramaniam” “jaym ravi and “prakash raj” characters whereby they will deliver a product which is nice to them but not the audience. If you are going to be stuck in a shell 🐚 you can’t see how big the world is. He was a topstar, but no more.

This guy is delusional. He believes Ponnar Shankar is a precedent for Baahubali!!!! He says he has no time to think about his failures or for negativity... He does not even acknowledge his career graph has been disastrous in the last two decades. This is why he is not able to make a comeback. If he acknowledged he is in a bad place, and thought about his failures and did some soul searching, he might have changed his situation. I even wonder if he is able to think on his own, or only believes what his father says. If I were in his place, I would work with new age directors in small movies with interesting scripts or in a web series. He could contribute some star power and they could create a new persona for him. And for God's sake, no more movies with his dad. In a way, he is in an enviable position wherein he can experiment a lot and is not bound down by an image or commercial pressures. Sort of like how Abhishek Bachchan is doing now. He honestly has nothing to lose now.
