It all started with an illegal three day party in 2008. That one party weekend changed the whole city of Vienna and its nightlife culture. Pratersauna became a home for electronic music lovers.
Party is not only about getting drunk and losing oneself in drugs or music. A nightclub can be much more than leaving reality and escaping everyday life. In a nightclub people from any background come together to rave and leave their social bonds behind them.
On February 1st 2016, Hennes and Stefan, the founders of the Pratersauna, closed the club with one last party which lasted three days. To showcase this, we accompanied the protagonists to the events leading up to the final hurrah. As the event draws closer, we get to dive deeper and deeper in the world of all the people that let us take part in their own stories about and around the Pratersauna universe.
This film is guided by the emotionality, narration and visual quality of a cinematic documentary.
