How difficult it is to understand that the debate is “how to make the process more democratic” not about “if it is right or wrong for parents to help out their kids”. Even though Doctor’s kid might be inclined to become a Doctor, there inclination is not enough they would have to go through an examination, is it same for actors I doubt it.

But doctors kids have more support from their parents in terms of better schooling, facilities, training, healthy food and subject knowledge. So they have more chances of passing the entrance exam.. I know many doctors kids who failed in the main entrance exam and still managed to become doctors by paying lakhs of rupees to buy a doctor seat under management quota. (in private medical colleges)

How can you compare a doctor's profession with that of acting? I expected a more logical reasoning from such intelligent and amazing actors. You need to pass the entrance exam and work hard for a minimum of five years just to get an MBBS degree. And then there are other degrees as well. And here the starkids don't even have to audition for their first film. They get huge amounts of money without even having to audition. And they keep getting movies irrespective of their how good or bad they act. Example- Sara Ali Khan, Bobby Deol, Abhishek Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, Aditya Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor etc etc

Well, only few people such as Alia Bhatt were subjected to unfair, useless criticism by propaganda machine. While I won't ever support bullying and abusing, I genuinely think that some the the criticisms have actually done good to the industry. In fact I believe an insider who really loves the craft and wants to improve their skill would not be offended by some of the criticisms. People like Ishaan Khattar, and Shahid Kapoor who have proved their love and real dedication for the craft through their performance have to be appreciated. I personally feel Jahnvi Kapoor is going to improve. Its shouldn't be about hating actors just because they are insiders. However, the sheer arrogance and illiteracy shown by few "privileged" celebrities who go on to equate their struggles with those of "outsiders" while getting film after film in spite of not so great (sometimes very bad) acting is just not acceptable.

Bro, nepotism is a part of our society any parent will do whatever they can to help their children, and in films if one has to produce a film to benefit their child he will do that, or if one has to request a producer to make a film with his child he will do that. If one is preparing for IAS, wealthy parents will join his child in the best institute by paying lakhs of rupees, because that's the best they can do in this case. If one wants to join his child in a very good university he will even pay lakhs of rupees for management quota to get him joined there. This is how it works here bro.

Problem is not with parents doing something for their kids . Many insiders have lost roles to other actors as well. Shraddha Kapoor lost her role to another actress (which I don't remember who it was) in Street Dancer 3. However due to some date issues, the role came back to her. So it's not just an insider outsider thing.

@@shashidhar7476 The problem is when someone else is cast for that role and then removed just because your child needs that spot. Why would you take away that person's effort and give it because you know that person? It's like a college seat -one comes from merit and another because of influence, if the principal prefers influence, it's unfair to that person who has studied hard and reached there. Also, Should the producer not think about the movie becoming successful because of a good actor, earning the goodwill of people for giving an opportunity to someone, not from the industry, or should the producer think about obliging to a request?

It's not my job to think about everyone right, so instead of giving the job to some unknown person I will give it to a friend of mine who is very much capable of doing the job, and also interested in doing the job. You can call it nepotism, favouritism or anything but it happens everywhere in the society not just in film industry. In colleges there is something called as management quota where you can buy a seat legally without having proper score in entrance exam, so it is not always about merit sometimes money also plays a role, and in my previous example contacts played a role.
